Right, the Iranian Revolution overthrew the Iranian government- specifically the Imperial State of Iran (Pahlavi Iran for short) in 1979. But, remind me, how did the Pahlavi family re-ascend to the Iranian imperial throne in 1953?

Do you know what happened in 1953? And the two specific groups who organized the overthrow of a democratically elected government?
