It's because their leftist teachers promised them that it would give them something for nothing, and so for a generation that hates the very thought of working for a living, it seems like Utopia regardless of the harsh and bitter lessons of history . . . history that their leftist teachers made SURE that they never learned.

You can have an upvote because I actually agree the kids are a bit misinformed about the history of state Communist regimes and the atrocities committed. I'm not exactly enamored by the kind of capitalism we've got in a lot of countries either though. So if anyone has an idea of a system that actually isn't shit and doesn't either a) kill and incarcerate people or b) leave them destitute/unable to pay the rent and afford a basic standard of living or leave them suffering from chronic health problems or c) all of the above, answers on a postcard please.
