The discovery of oil and the transformation of it into thousands of compounds and products has revolutionized human existence. It provides a standard of living that was unimaginable to earlier generations. It is fundamental to our way of life and anybody who can't understand that has failed in their education.

So very true. If these hypocrites were true to their word and cut out everything that was oil-based in their lives, they would cease to exist. They still don't know that oil is a natural renewable resource.

I understand oil was great

I think that we can eventually get off it.

Oil aint good for the environment
And oil HAS DEFINITELY DONE GREAT IN MAKING US BETTER but we have to move forward

And it will not be fast or easy
Progress is not inevitable
But I think we can do better

Like how we went from no health awareness to gen z becoming least drinker (W) going non alcoholic stuff

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IM5c8iOJooc

So we as we learn about how stuff works mabey we can find a better thing than oil or find a way to do oil better

I mean eventually we'll run out anyway so...
Might as well work on something for when that happens

Oil has done good as well as bad
It's just like technology evolving it curves in how much good it does

So. . .something that's found in nature is bad for nature. . .well I guess a point can be made at the end of the day it comes down to people, especially those in government-
1) Commie/tyrannical governments don't care about environmental impact when drilling for oil and whatever.
2) EPA in the US has been shown to not care when things go sideways unless it's to push a particular agenda.
3) The hypocrisy of those in government who claim to care about the environment flying around on private jets when there is no reason for them to do so. . .or stripping parts of the Amazon to create landing strips for their private jets.
4) Completely ignoring things like forest management.
5) Demanding others to make all the required while they don't.
6) Lying through their teeth about thing like solar/wind power.

Hey honestly yea those are good points
I think we gotta hold em more accountable, and honestly a lot of pollution comes from a few companies

So I think we gotta start making the EPA more independent
(So we can avoid the politics)

Make sure it can impose more severe penalties and specifically needs to have some board or something to make sure nothing is purely politically motivated

I don't have a lot of time to respond so there's definitely something you can say would not work but hey I don't have a lot of time rn

Hope your day goes well though :D

Is it legal to throw tomato soup on them?

What a waste of effort.

Endangering your life to accomplish NOTHING.

Climate change is a problem, but this kind of behavior makes people want to stop supporting environmentalists. It's obnoxious.

Democrats don't care enough about climate change either. We saw it when Biden and Harris tried to campaign for fracking expansion to win working class Americans. Trump didn't flip-flop, he stuck to a side when he could.

Even though Trump wants to "drill, baby, drill", in reality he is seeking to expand domestic energy production among multiple sources, including nuclear and renewables.

If Republicans can somehow make the planet cleaner without harming working class employees in the fossil fuel sector, then they're the ones saving our planet.

by ending importing energy like oil from countries that have no environmental standards like China and India , and producing it ourselves under strike environmental guidelines, the republicans very well may be able to make our world cleaner.

I guess, but what do we do once the oil reserves are depleted? This won't happen soon, but probably in like 50 to 70 years.

If we start producing oil at the rates of the middle east , as well as build processing plants, we will never run out of oil. Our oil reserves are at the mercy of foreigners because the dems waged a war against it.

Saudi Arabia has larger reserves than ours or Russia's, that's why they haven't run out. Other Gulf nations like Iran and Iraq have similar volumes of oil to us. Even then, it is trying to diversify its economy towards tourism and technology as we shift away from oil dependence.

Oil dependence is not going to go away in an instant. We still need it for transportation. Even though electric vehicles are becoming mainstream, they're not reliable enough, some of their designs are unappealing, and they're often more expensive than their gas counterparts.

On the other hand, even though electric cars have a higher manufacturing carbon footprint than gas cars due to the expensive metals needed for batteries, they have a lower usage footprint because they release less pollution per mile driven depending on the electric grid supplying charge to the battery. This makes them cleaner over time.

It seems that leftists(and moderates too) will refuse to buy Teslas to avoid association with Musk, but another problem is Teslas are priced like luxury cars but don't have great build quality. Some EV drivers choose electric cars from well-known brands like Hyundai and Mercedes.

I would like to buy an electric or hybrid car from a mainstream brand, and maybe an electric car from a luxury brand when I'm older, because I can worry less about gas prices and have a car with better acceleration. But I do appreciate your insight into how the nation could manage oil and the environment.

Watch the first Episode of "LandMan" on Amazon prime, it gives you a real insight to how much the world depends on oil. Its mind blowing how much oil is intergrated into our lives. We should embrace it as much as we can, we could become more powerful as a natiomn than ever before with proper oil control and manufacturing.

If oil is "fossil" fuel rendered from dino bones over thousands of years, surely some animals died the next day....and the next....and the next...one day they will be pumping ol liquefied granny out of the ground to get somebody to work at the pie factory on time.

Try reading what I actually wrote , I know its saturday night, but try to focus , think clearly for 2 seconds, and really really concentrate. Our oil reserves will not run out if we produce oil at a faster pace which we will now that the demotards war on oil is over.

trust me, people will find what they need when they need it, Antarctica is a gold mine, we just need the equipment to be able to access it, that is what people like Elon Musk do, find new ways to bring us out of the dark ages and into the light. manned Space travel, mining other planets, of course this is far in the future , you and me will be dust when these things come to pass, but as long as we strive to exist, people will find what we need.

But extraction of those resources will melt the ice, no? That would lead to sea level rise, and that could damage populated coastal areas, including desirable beachfront properties. Climate change harms everyone, even the rich.

Even if we extract oil domestically where environmental regulations are stronger, does that even cause gulf nations and other oil-rich countries to reduce their operations? And even if we use carbon capture to reduce pollution from oil operations, how do we prevent physical and chemical damage that fracking does to soil and groundwater?

Now, about Elon Musk. I'm worried that Musk has overloaded himself with too much by taking on DOGE. Additionally, upon the bureaucracy purge, many people who voted for Trump are second guessing because hundreds of law-abiding citizens are losing their gov. jobs in the name of efficiency. His political mishaps could overshadow his accomplishments in advancing technology and society, and he may not be able to return to his original goals.

Also some of his recent behaviors have been seen as anti-semitic and could harm the Trump admin's reputation overall.

I been hearing about rising sea levels for decades and climate change, I remember when they called it global warming,"Scientists" have been panic peddling since the 1930s about climate stuff, and every time they were wrong. I feel that there is tons of money is climate hysteria, so just like the oil thing, they said we would deplete our oil reserves back in the 70s and they were wrong about that. So the climate stuff , i take with a grain of salt.

Nothing we do is going to change the behavior of other nations, but what we do sometimes has a ripple effect across the world, people see we are keeping the air and water clean with our oil, so they buy ours , leading other countries to do the same.

everything you said about musk is opinion and my only response with that is you have a right to yours, but I disagree. However i know that scientific development comes from war, and the wealthy funding people to find and breakthrough new frontiers. People living in the ghetto are not working diligently on world changing ideas.
