I'm suggesting there was a sizeable shift of black voters during that time period when democrat president Lyndon Johnson advocated for (and signed) the 1964 civil rights act. Yes there were a bunch of democrats from the south in Congress who voted against it, but there were also republicans... including Barry Goldwater, who strongly opposed it and who Republicans chose as their nominee for president that year..... this was about the time staunchly anti-civil rights Democrat Strom Thurmond switched parties to Republican because after Johnson signed civil rights into law he felt the Democrats no longer represented him.
"I do not consider anything you listed a benefit......
Further, you have not described one example of how the lives of black people were improved."
Sounds kinda like you're saying the same thing but trying to make it sound like you said something more.
Anyway I'd say having a job is clearly a benefit and something that would improve your life. Also, if you adhere to the standard that everyone here seems to, you could say Civil Rights "happened under" Democrat President Lyndon Johnson. I'd say that was also an improvement.
"Democrats want black people to not get killed by guns, just killed by their mothers? Black people don't want to be killed by guns, just killed by their mothers?"
Democrats and black people want black people to not get killed by guns and have the right to abortion, just the same as anyone else does...... or did as the case may be.
