Contrary to common misconception, small arms gun shot wounds to the torso area give very little external blood loss. Contrary to the popularized Hollywood special effects.

Very true. It does depend where you are shot, and the type of bullet. A ball round will zip right through with the victim not even realizing they have been shot.
