[3 of 4] Opposite of Christian prayer, Hindu meditation is inwardly focused on one's own spirit, claiming it will gain self-awareness for those practicing it. What does the Bible say about that? Are we supposed to focus on ourselves? No! Romans 8:5-6, tells us to deny ourselves because focusing on the flesh only leads to death, while using our minds to pray to God in a conversation, leads to life and peace. So, meditation is nothing at all like biblical prayer. "Those who practice transcendental meditation are setting their minds on their own spirit, looking within themselves in order to transcend themselves, rather than on the Spirit of God. Searching one's own mind—or emptying one's mind of all thought—may result in numbness or a temporary escape from reality, but...cannot bring true [and lasting] peace.” What meditation will do is get you into an altered state of consciousness, (literally, a hypnotic state), making you highly suggestible to spiritual realms that you do not want to mess with. [4 of 6] The Word of Faith preachers claim we can tap into whatever we want by using words expressed in mantras to bind the “God force” into fulfilling our every desire. But that’s a lie and just another false teaching they adopted from Hinduism. They even spread Christianese on it and fed it to the Christian Church. And they get away with it because few understand it's heresy since people don’t do their homework to be familiar enough with both the Bible and Hinduism. That’s how we’ve ended up in the mess we have today with the prospering Word of Faith movement. Here is WOF preacher, Frederick Price, and this one is just sick when you think about what it does to people: "How can you glorify God in your body when it doesn't function right. How can you glorify God?”

[4 of 4] What if we just call it "contemplative prayer,” as practiced in some Christian Churches today? You may think Hindu meditation is attractive to the world but would never snooker Christians. Unfortunately, it's been in the Church for years. Hindu evangelizing can't call it Eastern transcendental meditation. Instead, they Christianized the name. It's the same old method the devil always uses, taking old lies and repackaging the false teachings, this time with Christianese to dupe Christians into thinking the idea came from God. Meditation, now in our Church, is called "contemplative prayer.” Though it says, “prayer,” it is not from God. Still, that lie has created one of the fastest growing practices in the America Church today and it’s just plain old pagan meditation. And anyone who pushes meditation far enough, will have a spiritual encounter, but it won’t be the Spirit of God. The Bible instructs us to pray with our minds. We do contemplate (thinking deeply) while in a real conversation with God. Though that’s not what "contemplative prayer" means. It is nothing like prayer in the Church. "Contemplative prayer has slowly increased in practice and popularity among the emerging church movement—a movement which embraces many unscriptural ideas and practices.” Eastern meditation has been labeled as contemplative prayer to infiltrate Churches by claiming we will have a genuine encounter with God. Again, you eventually will connect with something, but it will not be the Spirit of God. Word of Faith has taken Hindu teachings, slapped Christianese on them, and used the false teachings to defraud folks in the Christian Church. The Hindu bill of goods these Word of Faith guys (and gals) are selling, goes something like this: You can get anything you want if you have enough belief, speak the right words, use the force of faith, send them money to get trinkets, and repeat phrases over and over. That's Hinduism! Hindus are taught to use the "God force" with mantras (repetitive chanting) to create their own reality. Romans 5 talks about how, as ungodly sinners (before getting saved), we hated God. And God certainly didn't need us. But He still chose to die for us so that we can become what we are today: His actual children, Christians. And it's all free. Jesus said His priority was to destroy the works of the devil and to save us from sin. Frederick Price: "The apostles were businessmen. They were rich men that had plenty of money… Only rich people could take off for three and a half years… That's the reason why I drive a Rolls Royce. I'm following Jesus’ steps.”; But the Bible says, "In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories made up." Creflo Dollar: "I'm telling you, Jesus wasn't poor, and… Jesus didn't have no rags on. He wore designer clothes, honey!” Robert Tilton: "The only time people were poor in the Bible is when they were under a curse... Being poor is a sin.” But the Bible says this about Jesus giving up everything to come to earth as a poor man: “Though Jesus was rich, yet for your sake he became poor…” Just like Word of Faith preachers, there is another group of religious leaders who also live a lavish lifestyle, while teaching those who sent them all that money, that they too can become wealthy if they'd only practice the right force of faith with their words. So religions like Hinduism take advantage of that mindset by having their followers perform rituals to supposedly appease the 300 million Hindu gods (demons). Man’s need for religiosity allows religions to control people, just as Hindu priests did in early Hinduism, growing in power by holding follower's escape from “Karma" over their heads. Karma is the endless loop of us supposedly living one life after another (their false teaching of reincarnation). And that same works-based dynamic is taught across the planet through world religions and cults. Outside Bible Christianity, the other faiths hold the afterlife over devotees' heads to push them toward the organization's goals. Around 600 B.C. the Hindu people revolted against the priests’ control, changing Hinduism to a more individual-focused faith with personal meditation, pursuing an altered state of consciousness to connect with the Hindu gods (demons), as a means to supposedly escape reincarnation. Some still want a guru to tell them how to be most religious. Meditation was NOT invented as a way to reduce stress. As you read it, keep in mind the Hindu false teachings about chanting mantras to supposedly attain perfect health and wealth. These false teachers really like to flip out when people say anything negative like the fact that we might feel a bit sick today. Their admonishment of us would go something like this: "Don't say that! You’ll make yourself sick! Don't you realize your words have power?"; But all that hype is just Hindu beliefs reflected in the behavior of the followers of Hinduism, New Age, and the Word of Faith movement. The latter is actually in the Christian Church. Here’s Marilyn Hickey: "Say to your body, 'You're whole, body! Why, you just function so beautifully and so well...you never have any problems. You're a strong, healthy body.' Or speak to your leg, or speak to your foot, or speak to your neck, or speak to your back.”
She might want to speak to a psychiatrist! I'm sorry, but this stuff is just crazy. She continues:
