Often these Churches seek more and more attendees while preaching fluff and avoiding discipleship, as well as other truth given by God. Bible prophecy warns us that this was going to happen. Paul said this in Timothy: The Church in the last days will gather teachers around themselves, who will "tickle their ears” so that the Church turns away from truth and aside to “myths.” In the Greek those myths mean "pleasant things" and "stories made up.” That’s the Church-Growth-Movement model. And maybe it’s because they’re not equipped, but either way we can't leave it there. We should respectfully request that our shepherds teach all of the Bible. If your pastor refuses to teach the whole counsel of God, you need to fire him and get a shepherd who truly loves you. Also, the Bible is a collection of 66 books written by 40 different authors, on 3 different continents, in three different languages, over a period of 1500 years. Yet all 66 books have a marvelous unity and agreement. It was written over a multitude of generations, yet never once does it contradict itself; not even once! There is no way man could ever whip up a book like that.
