The rest all have a list of demands from their leaders, telling the followers all the WORKS needed to supposedly attain heaven for themselves. Contrary to that, the biblical truth is that there is only one Mediator between man and God who is Jesus Christ. We are able to go straight to Him, avoiding any of man’s rituals, because all the work has already been DONE FOR US. And it costs us nothing except to humble ourselves, admitting we need a savior. In Hebrews, John says, as Christians we have the freedom to go directly to God and do so with boldness, always finding Grace and help from Him in our time of need. Isn't that mindblowing!? Even today, when I read that it feels like the words are coming off the pages, just as John seemed to have his mind blown by that realization. John is amazed at the thought that we are actually CHILDREN OF GOD.

They were rich men that had plenty of money… Only rich people could take off for three and a half years… That's the reason why I drive a Rolls Royce. I'm following Jesus’ steps.”; But the Bible says, "In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories made up." Creflo Dollar: "I'm telling you, Jesus wasn't poor, and… Jesus didn't have no rags on. He wore designer clothes, honey!” Robert Tilton: "The only time people were poor in the Bible is when they were under a curse... Being poor is a sin.” But the Bible says this about Jesus giving up everything to come to earth as a poor man: “Though Jesus was rich, yet for your sake he became poor…” Just like Word of Faith preachers, there is another group of religious leaders who also live a lavish lifestyle, while teaching those who sent them all that money, that they too can become wealthy if they'd only practice the right force of faith with their words. With non-biblical false faiths, don’t you think it’s convenient that you won’t find out until you die, whether all that money you gave and free labor you provided to that cult or religion will even get you to heaven? [2 of 2] Supposedly-Christian (but really non-biblical faiths that are cults) like Catholicism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, Mormonism, Scientology, etc., call Jesus a liar by hanging salvation over their follower's heads. That's why cult followers are often scared to death. Cults want full control so
hey make up requirements for their
followers to reach heaven. Those
works are laid onto the shoulders of their
followers, making them pursue
heaven by their own life of hard work,
stress, and donations to the cult. Even
then,the anxious followers don't know
if they've done enough to reach heaven.
They never have assurance of salvation. So to build the cult, followers knock on doors, hand out pamphlets, attend services, abstain from foods the cult says to, and do all tasks the cult leaders tell them to. Unfortunately, it's often a horrid life where rates of drug and alcohol abuse are high, immorality is way up, and suicide rates are through the roof. Why? Again, it's because of all the legalist requirements the cult uses to scare followers into compliance with cult demands, and it is done by denying Jesus' free salvation. Contrast that with the biblical-Christian faith that relies on the Bible. We have peace knowing we're saved and nothing can change that so we're excited and compelled to share that joy with others. Christ's love compels us. We're glad He did it all and we want to serve
