Jesus said His priority was to destroy the works of the devil and to save us from sin. Frederick Price: "The apostles were businessmen. They were rich men that had plenty of money… Only rich people could take off for three and a half years… That's the reason why I drive a Rolls Royce. I'm following Jesus’ steps.”; But the Bible says, "In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories made up." Creflo Dollar: "I'm telling you, Jesus wasn't poor, and… Jesus didn't have no rags on. He wore designer clothes, honey!” Robert Tilton: "The only time people were poor in the Bible is when they were under a curse... Being poor is a sin.” But the Bible says this about Jesus giving up everything to come to earth as a poor man: “Though Jesus was rich, yet for your sake he became poor…” Just like Word of Faith preachers, there is another group of religious leaders who also live a lavish lifestyle, while teaching those who sent them all that money, that they too can become wealthy if they'd only practice the right force of faith with their words. With non-biblical false faiths, don’t you think it’s convenient that you won’t find out until you die, whether all that money you gave and free labor you provided to that cult or religion will even get you to heaven? Then it’s too late to sue them when you end up in hell. And you are so busy trying to get yourself to heaven, and wondering
if you will, that you don’t take time to tell others how to get there. Satan loves that mindset. But God wants more than just you and me in heaven. Our main purpose in life is to get saved and then save others. This is why Christ delays His second coming. Jesus promises: "He who OVERCOMES, I will NEVER blot out his name from the Book of Life (Rev 3:5)." Paul says: "Everyone who is born of God OVERCOMES the world (1 John 4).” Paul explains being born of God: "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." So, why do all other faiths teach man’s ideas that contradict God’s Word in the Bible? [2 of 2] Supposedly-Christian (but really non-biblical faiths that are cults) like Catholicism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, Mormonism, Scientology, etc., call Jesus a liar by hanging salvation over their follower's heads. That's why cult followers are often scared to death. Cults want full control so
hey make up requirements for their
followers to reach heaven. Those
works are laid onto the shoulders of their
followers, making them pursue
heaven by their own life of hard work,
stress, and donations to the cult. Even
then,the anxious followers don't know
if they've done enough to reach heaven.
They never have assurance of salvation. So to build the cult, followers knock on doors, hand out pamphlets, attend services, abstain from foods the cult says to, and do all tasks the cult leaders tell them to. Unfortunately, it's often a horrid life where rates of drug and alcohol abuse are high, immorality is way up, and suicide rates are through the roof. Why? Again, it's because of all the legalist requirements the cult uses to scare followers into compliance with cult demands, and it is done by denying Jesus' free salvation. Contrast that with the biblical-Christian faith that relies on the Bible. We have peace knowing we're saved and nothing can change that so we're excited and compelled to share that joy with others. Christ's love compels us. We're glad He did it all and we want to serve
