DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF GOD? The American Church (our Body of Christ), is under attack with an epidemic of people in the Church who no longer believe in God. Even many of us Christians are living like practical atheists. We say we believe in God, but our lips and lives display something else, causing us to live an example that keeps others from believing in Him. To avoid this irony of Christian's living like practical atheists, "The Power of God,” series reveals God's Power through His Display of Creation, Demonstration of Miracles, Destroying the Works of Satan, and His Defeating Death. You'll finally see What God's Power Can Do for You. In fact, There is Nothing He Can't Do and no possibility of Intimidating Him. The awesome message we get to tell to the nations is that God not only exists, but through Jesus Christ we can have an intimate personal relationship with the Creator of the universe! If the world is to believe our message, we must stop acting like practical atheists and start demonstrating with our lips and lives that God is Powerful. | image tagged in god, power, bible, christian, believe, church | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

HOW IS CHRISTIANITY DIFFERENT FROM ALL OTHER FAITHS? [2 of 2] Romans 5 talks about how, as ungodly sinners before getting saved, we hated God and He didn't need us but still chose to die for us so that we can become what we are today as Christians--HIS ACTUAL CHILDREN! And it's all free. There's no priest to go through, NO WORKS, no money to send in, and no techniques to perform. It's all been taken care of--it's done! Yet people want to say, "We all know every religion teaches pretty much the same thing." No! That's a lie. Christianity is absolutely unique and is the only way. But in his depravity and still to this day, Satan has invented a myriad of false paths just to confuse people away from Jesus. And the devil does so out of pure evil, wanting as many people as he can dupe to join him in the Lake of Fire. Satan knows he's lost. He's the loser. Jesus beat him on the cross. But Satan has teamed up with humans (who seek power and money), to deceive people all the way into an eternity in hell. The alternative is to only accept the free gift of salvation given to us by Jesus' work on the cross. By just accepting that, we'll spend eternity as a child of the one Supreme Being, the almighty eternal God. | image tagged in answers, god, christian, jesus, bible, truth | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

KELLOGG'S CEREAL AND A BALANCED APPROACH TO BIBLE PROPHECY
As a Seventh Day Adventist, John Kellogg (the inventor of breakfast cereal), believed the Second Coming of Christ was imminent and so the formal education of their children was therefore unnecessary. But that's not the balance we need in understanding Bible prophecy. In fact, even in biblical Christianity, the Church seems to mostly be at one end of the spectrum or the other.
Either they act like we don't need to study Bible prophecy because Jesus is never coming back so there is no imminency of the Rapture, (which is wrong), or others want to use the idea that it could happen today, as a way to get out of the responsibilities for living. Many of the latter, think they don't need to get a job, educate their children, or even have children, because their kids would be
unsaved and have to go into the Seven Year Tribulation. Jehovah's Witnesses' unbiblical teachings are similar.
But a well-balanced approach says, yes, it could happen today but I also need to prepare for living each day as if it could still be a while. It's like a railroad track. You don't want to end up on just one rail or you could be in big trouble. You need to travel through life on both at the same time. That's balance in the study of Bible prophecy and Kellogg apparently didn't have it. | image tagged in christian, bible, god, jehovah's witness, pray, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
