WHAT IS A KING JAMES PRAYER?
First, prayer is an actual conversation in a personal relationship with God, and certainly not like Hindu meditation & mantras with their mindless repetition (babble) of words or phrases, hoping to get into an altered state of consciousness. Jesus clearly warns us not to babble on and the Bible says, "Ask and you will receive." So, it involves an intelligent conversation and in no way includes emptying our minds in some esoteric, mystical, & meditative experience. Prayer is a personal relationship with God; not a clearing of the mind to allow for communing with demon spirits. And as far as the way we should talk with God in prayer, I've demonstrated it to my congregation by showing them how I do NOT talk my wife. I don't use some biblical King-James-Version-type lingo like, "Oh, Brandie, thou art thee that I loveth as thou goest in thy wondrousness."; That's just playing goofy games with conversation & it's the same way with God. It is not some rehearsed speech. I don't have to work at what I'm going to say to my wife each day by reading, and maybe even memorizing, material that I later explain to her through some exact step-by-step formula for supposedly more effective communication. It’s the same with true biblical prayer to God, which should be from the heart. But people desiring religiosity, like to throw in mystical lingo. | image tagged in prayer, bible, god, relationship, christian, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT ARE THE ORIGINS OF THE “WORD OF FAITH” MOVEMENT? [1 of 3]
Where did this idea of gibberish come from? Well, around 1900, Charles Parham invented the idea that the language spoken in tongues must be unknown (gibberish). Parham attracted students and insisted they wear the latest clothing fashions, which goes right along with these Word of Faith guys today who claim Jesus wore designer clothing. So, Parham started the outbreak of the unknown-tongues thing, even though his first female student, Agnes Ozman, is now accredited by the charismatic community as the first person to speak in gibberish tongues. However, even Ozman taught that it must be a known language, (in her case, Chinese), and second, Parham was the first to teach speaking in unknown gibberish tongues. So, the charismatic leaders don't even get that history straight. Now, I want to give you what Agnes Ozman actually uttered, what she characterized as "Chinese," and though it’s hard to believe, this is documented. Without ever studying Chinese, Ozman not only claimed to speak it, she also said she could write it, both of which were untrue. Here's a partial transcript of what she supposed said in "Chinese": "Lazzo, lauzo, logal, eenie, meenie, minie, moe.” I did not make that up! And even if she blurted out some legitimate Chinese, which she didn’t because we know what she said, a Chinese message would not end with the English phrase, “eenie, meenie, minie, moe,” unless maybe she was at Disney Land hugging Mickey Mouse. | image tagged in bible, jesus, god, christian, church, chinese | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHY SHOULD CHRISTIANS STUDY THE OCCULT, WITCHCRAFT, AND SATANISM?
[1 of 2] So many times in the Bible, God tells us to stay away from the occult practices that are glamorized by Hollywood and ignored by most in the Church, including those who go online to comment that we Christians don't need to learn about such evil. But that advocates burying our heads in the sand, which helps no one and only facilitates the continued demonic consequences for unsuspecting men, women, and children. Warnings against occult practices like witchcraft are all over the Bible because they are ABHORRENT to God. The reality of where it leads, to evils like demon connections and human sacrifice, should be disturbing and serious enough for Christians, that it prompts us to deal with it in a biblical way. As vile as the information is, at least we will have been biblically trained on how to deal with this evil. | image tagged in satanism, occult, witchcraft, god, bible, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
