or smaller than what you put in? So if you put in 0, you get 0, right? That was true about proportional relationships, but not all relationships start at 0. So, sometimes you put in 0 and you get 3? Or negative 3, but each bit you put in still changes what you get out the same way. Those are linear relationships.
