DOES "LUCIFER" REALLY MEAN "SATAN?” Here's something you may not know: “lucifer,” which we equate with Satan, does appear in some Bible translations and I have no problem with that. In fact, we can see lucifer in Isaiah 14, where it talks about the fall of Satan, and Ezekiel 28 where it mentions wickedness being found in him. But "lucifer" is actually NOT a proper name. It's a Latin word (derived from the Hebrew word) meaning, "morning star." The actual Latin word is "luciferum." The translators of the Bible's King James Version didn't know what the Hebrew word meant so they literally transliterated the Latin word "lucifer," or “luciferum," or "morning star."; I don't bring that up to get into some tit for tat, but only to point out Mormonism's claim that Lucifer is supposedly the brother of Jesus, and that both were born of physical, sexual relations between God (which can't be because God is a spirit) and one of His “wives,” which makes no sense on many levels, including their use of “lucifer” for the devil’s name when it is not even a proper name. So, it can't be a real character in their story of a supposed family squabble between Jesus and “Lucifer.” I am only picking this apart a bit because Mormonism claims their gospel is better than the Christian gospel and promises us that theirs was also
inspired of God. But with all due respect, how can it be from God if their
whole story is based on a completely flawed use of the word? | image tagged in lucifer, god, satan, bible, jesus, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT SATAN'S LEVEL OF EVIL? If you've seen our study series, "Spiritual Warfare: The Satanic War on the Christian," you'll know that, in Greek, Scripture's word for Satan's level of evil is "poneros," versus how he could have been depicted as “kakos.” Kakos is just a general evil and could be described in this way: A kakos person would go in to rob a 7-Eleven, and then when the store is surrounded by the police with no way of escape, he would give up and put his gun down. That robber would be considered kakos, or generally bad. But "poneros," which is used to describe Satan's brand of evil, would result in a quite different end to our scenario. A poneros individual, like Satan, would be in that same store with his gun, but when surrounded by the police with no way out, he is so evil he would shoot and kill as many people as he can before being taken. That's poneros and it is the word
our Bible uses to describe Satan’s more extreme brand of evil. | image tagged in satan, evil, christian, bible, god, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
