DAY 67: WHAT ARE SOME GENERAL BEST PRACTICES TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN WITNESSING FOR CHRIST?
1. Sanctify your heart (1 Peter 3:15).
2. Pray—this is a spiritual battle
for the truth (2 Corinthians 10:3–5).
3. Be ready with a good understanding
of the Scriptures.
4. Do not argue. Do not attack the
person (2 Timothy 2:24–26). 5. Make sure you define words. False faiths have memorized scripts that may use Christian terms. However, their meanings are radically different from the “God,” “Jesus,” and “salvation” of the Bible. Find out what they mean by those terms.
6. Do not get off on tangents. The important points are the source of authority (the Bible alone), the nature of God, the person and
work of Jesus, the nature of man, and the means of salvation.
7. Avoid Christian jargon, which has no
meaning for the unchurched.
8. Share your testimony and your
assurance of eternal life through Christ. | image tagged in witness, salvation, bible, god, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DO OUR EFFORTS PRODUCE SALVATION OR ARE THEY EVIDENCE OF IT? [1 of 2] Warning, God’s graphic language: Our efforts (works) do not produce salvation; instead, they are evidence of it. Let me illustrate that idea with the original Hebrew definition, but I will warn you that God is being graphic here about how our works, to try achieving salvation for ourselves, greatly offend His holiness. The Hebrew term “filthy rags” is quite strong. The word “filthy” is a translation of the Hebrew word “iddah,” which literally means “the bodily fluids from a woman's menstrual cycle.” And we know what rags are, so this description of bloody rags refers to every cult and religion that prescribes works to make it to heaven, which includes every faith outside biblical Christianity—yes, every single one—because
they all claim their followers have to earn there way to that faith’s
good afterlife. This often includes volunteer work done for the organization, like recruiting new members, as well as donating a lot of money over many years. These false faiths teach things like getting to heaven by going to the weekend services, refraining from pork, or worshipping on Saturday. They claim those personal efforts will get you salvation through your own efforts, but God sees those organization’s prescribed works for what they are: each of those ill-advised efforts—to add to or circumvent salvation through Jesus alone—is like you tossing another filthy menstrual rags in front of God's holy throne. Advocating works to get yourself to heaven is like throwing a bloody rag in front of a holy, holy, holy God. And
it's not me saying that, God said it. Why is God giving us such a graphic
picture? "These 'righteous acts' are considered by God as repugnant
as a soiled feminine hygiene product." God is saying—Excuse me?!—my
son's blood was shed for you, yet you have the audacity to claim
you will somehow get to heaven through your own efforts. | image tagged in salvation, heaven, hell, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT IS TRUE BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY, VERSUS ALL THE BANKRUPT WORKS-BASED RELIGIONS AND CULTS? True Christianity, that God tells us about in His Bible, is simply you humbling yourself enough to accept the no-work, free gift of salvation—the forgiveness of your sins against God, your Creator. This is done by having faith in the help gloriously provided by Jesus who voluntarily died on the cross, taking your place in the punishment of your sins, even though Jesus never sinned. This is all it takes! Nothing else! Done! Completely contrary to that truth, man's world religions and cults all require your slave-like works and lots of your money to support the false-faith organizations and leaders; somehow that is supposed to get you into heaven. It doesn’t. Instead, without salvation through Christ, it only makes you tired, broke, and headed for a hellish eternity.
Titus 3:5: "He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit." Ephesians 2:8,9: "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." That does not mean we Christians can and should sin all we want without consequences. Born-again Christians are not the ones out robbing and killing. We so appreciate what Jesus did, we want to help others get to heaven. God wants more than just you and me there. So with our salvation secure, we can get out and share the good news of free forgiveness through Christ. Opposite of that is how works-based faiths keep followers so busy supposedly working their own way to heaven that they do not much get around to helping others get there. Doesn’t that seem like something Satan might do with Christians
and others to keep them from witnessing for Jesus? And that is
the same evil entity and his demons who inspired all those men
and women that started the countless works-based groups. | image tagged in salvation, god, heaven, hell, eternity, bible | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
