IS YOGA OK? Why in the world do we warn so much against yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, prophetic prayer, and other such practices; supposedly only meant to help us relax? It’s because their origin is the eastern religions and occultism. Their design is to get us into an "altered state of consciousness." When you do that to your mind and body, spirits tend to pop on the scene and they are not from God. Yet these Hindu and Buddhist practices, using occult techniques, are even being promoted in the Christian Church today. No matter how the methods and verbiage are repackaged, unfortunately these type of occult practices all have the same goal: to connect with spirits that are not from God.

The Bible warns against them, and you know them, as DEMONS.

IS THE GIFT OF PROPHECY FUNCTIONING IN THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH TODAY? If we still get new visions and prophecies from God these days, and they are applicable to us now, then why are we not using them to write a “newer” New Testament? Or do we have the canon of Scripture (the Bible) and that's all we need? The latter is true. Hebrews 1 tells us how God used to communicate with us in ancient times, and how He has chosen to communicate since then: "In the past, God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets." So, yes, God used
to speak to us through the prophets, many times and in various ways. That was God's methodology at that time in the distant past before Hebrews was written. How does He do so now? Hebrews 1 continues with that explanation: "In these last days He has spoken to us by His Son." So, the words given to us by Old Testament prophets were written down in the Old Testament and those spoken to us by His Son, Jesus—for these last days—were recorded in the New Testament. Guess what. That's it. We're done! This idea that God is going around to
different people giving them "new words" and “new ideas,“ would mean we
need to make additions to the New Testament. I hope no one would
even go down that route. In essence, these supposed “new words”
and “new visions” are just people getting outside the Bible. | image tagged in bible, prophecy, god, christian, future | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT DOES KELLOGG'S CEREAL HAVE TO DO WITH BIBLE PROPHECY? Around 1900, the inventor of breakfast cereal, John Kellogg, was a Seventh-day Adventist who strongly believed that the Second Coming of Christ was going to happen at any moment, which caused him to decide that the formal education of his children was not necessary. But that's not the balance we need in understanding Bible prophecy. In fact, even in biblical Christianity, the Church seems to be mostly at one end of the spectrum or the other. Some act like we do not need to study Bible prophecy because Jesus is never coming back, and there is no imminency
of the Rapture—of course both assertions are flat out wrong. Others want to use the idea that it could happen today as a way to get out of our responsibilities while living, thinking we don't need to get a job, educate our children, or even give birth to children because the kids would be unsaved, and have to go through the horrible Seven Year Tribulation that is talked about in Revelation. The last false teaching is similar to the unbiblical beliefs taught to followers of Jehovah's Witnesses. But that is not a well-balanced approach. This is: Yes, it could happen today. However, I also need to prepare for living each day as if it could still be a while away. It's like railroad tracks: you would be in big trouble if you ended up on only one rail. You need to travel through life
on both rails at the same time. Apparently, that is a balance
in the study of Bible prophecy that Kellogg didn't have. | image tagged in cereal, bible, jesus, god, adventist | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

SHOULD WE HAVE KNOWN THE MAYAN CALENDAR WOULD FAIL? The Mayans were deeply into the same sort of despicable human-sacrifice practices that the Aztecs, Incas, and other South America cultures were. Yet, even though the Mayans had a horrible, bloody culture, years ago people were pushing the Mayan calendar as something incredible. Remember how some in our world—even here in the US—were freaking out about the Mayan prediction of the world ending in 2012? If you are reading this, I don't have to tell you it didn't work out for that demonic prediction. But it blew me away that those concerned about the Mayan calendar included Christians, even though the Mayan belief system had that culture involved with hallucinogenics, in order to get visions that supposedly gave them wisdom. Instead of wisdom, the lies they got from demons led to constant human sacrifice—including children. They believed the sun would be extinguished if they didn't keep feeding it more human blood. Knowing that, were those the best people to listen to, over God? And if the Mayans and
their deities (demons) were so wise and accurate with that calendar,
how come they didn't predict their own culture's demise? | image tagged in mayan, inca, aztec, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHY DID GOD GIVE THE ANCIENT ISRAELITES DIETARY LAWS? Well, the practical side included the fact that they had no refrigerators, so God knew safe storage of shell fish might not work well in the desert—it would lead to many more last suppers. The dietary laws in Leviticus were also one of God's ways to make Israel an example for other nations to follow, a light unto the rest of the world, making them purposely stand out from other populations. Israel's actions at God's prompting sent messages to the Gentiles about how to fix common problems, helping other people groups become aware so they would hopefully also come to
God for the solutions. Besides all that, the dietary laws were given
to point out that God is clean and we are unclean. | image tagged in works, grace, heaven, hell, god, bible | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
