by the law.” How do our modern false teachers get around that? They can't. So, why are they still preaching this stuff today when it is clearly not from the Lord? Paul continues: "The righteous will live by faith." Not by works! Keeping the law is not basing your way to heaven on faith in Jesus. It is relying our own works—not what Jesus did for us. The Bible says, "The man who does these things will have to live by them." But Christ redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us. The Bible says, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." We hang ourselves on a tree when we take on Old Testament law, even though Jesus saved us from not being able to follow it perfectly. This meant his trainees, Mary Baker Eddy (Christian Science founder) and Warren Felt Evans, were also lacking biblical training. On top of that and going forward in time, Aimee Semple McPherson, who most Pentecostal and Word of Faith denominations come from, also lacked a biblical education. movement, here's their origins and modern result tell us this:; WOF was basically founded by biblically-UNTRAINED leaders. They were not students of the Bible. Parham attracted students and insisted they wear the latest clothing fashions, which goes right along with today's Word of Faith people who tell us that Jesus wore designer clothing. So, this guy Parham was the person responsible for originating the unknown-tongues thing, even though his first female student, Agnes Ozman, is now accredited by the charismatic community as the first person to speak in gibberish tongues.
But her-teacher Parham did that, and even Ozman did not believe him. She taught that it must be a KNOWN language—in her case, Chinese. That account shows that even the charismatic leaders have not gotten their foundational history right. Now, let me give you what Agnes Ozman actually uttered, what she characterized as "Chinese." Though this will be hard to believe—and a bit funny if not so tragic for those following her teachings—this has been well documented. Without ever studying Chinese, Ozman not only claimed to speak it, she also said she could write it, both of which were untrue. You may think Hindu meditation is able to entice the secular world, but can’t snooker Christians. Unfortunately, it's been in the Church for years! In the Christian Church, Hindu evangelizing would not have been able to get away with its real name: “Eastern transcendental meditation.” Instead, they Christianized it, which is the devil’s same old method of repackaging false teachings (lies).
