DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF GOD?
The American Church—our Body of Christ—is under attack with an epidemic of Christians who no longer believe in God, leading them to live their lives like practical atheists. We claim to follow God, but our lips and habits display something else that stands as a daily example to detour others from having faith in Him. To avoid this irony of God's people demonstrating atheism with their actions, our "Power of God” series reveals the Lord's might, which is seen in His creation, miracles, destruction of Satan's works, and His ability to defeating death. There is nothing He can't do, it is not possible to intimidate Him, and God's power can do amazing things for you and I. The awesome message we get to tell the nations is that God is real, and through Jesus Christ we can have an intimate, personal relationship with the Creator of the universe! But if the world is to believe
our message, we must stop demonstrating practical atheism and
start using our lips and lives to show that God is powerful. | image tagged in god, power, jesus, christian, example, bible | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE HOLINESS OF GOD? The Church is under attack, and it has gotten to the point where a lot of us in the Body of Christ are living like practical atheists. Many Christians claim to believe in God, but with our words and actions we often live like He is not even there. This hurts our walk with God, and also keeps others from believing in Him. To avoid this irony of Christians living like practical
atheists, our “Holiness of God” study takes a look at how God’s
Holiness caused some in the Bible to shut their mouths, fear for their lives, and fall flat on their face—sucking carpet. There was also the removal of some from their land because God has a zero tolerance for sin. Then there were the consequential deaths of Nadab, Abihu, Ananias, Sapphire, Achan, and Uzzah. God is Holy and we are not. If the world is ever going to believe our Christian message of hope, forgiveness, and love through Jesus Christ, you and I must stop acting like practical atheists and start
demonstrating with our lips—and lives—that God is Holy. | image tagged in holy, god, jesus, christian, bible, love | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE LOVE OF GOD? One of the most misunderstood attributes of God is that He IS love. Notice, I did not say He is just loving or lovable—He is actual LOVE itself. Stop and think about that; every single thing God has ever done or ever will do is a perfect act of love. Why? Because God IS love. But here’s the problem: We live in a society that has a warped view of what true love is. When you mention love today, most people think it refers to doing something sexual. But God demonstrated what true love is shown by the sacrificial
act of sending His Son to die for our sins—that is love! Yet, we've become so numb to this amazing act of God's love, that we have lost any appreciation for it. “The Love of God” is our study that takes a look at the six ways God demonstrates He is love itself: Compassion, Kindness, Graciousness, Faithfulness, Patience, and Goodness. And what is so incredible about all this is that it's free for the asking and we don't even deserve it! If Christians can't seem to appreciate the fact that God IS love, then something is terribly wrong with us! If we had any idea of the depths of God's love, we would fall on our knees in reverence, kiss the feet of Christ, and then get up on our feet and
run to tell everyone of their immediate need of Jesus! Why? Because that's
what happens when you truly understand that God IS LOVE. | image tagged in god, christian, bible, jesus, love, happy | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DO YOU EXPERIENCE GOD'S WORSHIP?
If you ask the average Christian whether they want to glorify God, the response would overwhelming be “Yes, of course!” But the words from our mouths tell a much different story. The Bible explains that our everyday words are either glorifying God or the devil; the words we speak, positive or negative, reveal which one. Our study, “Experiencing God's Worship,” reveals the hidden dangers of a life spent constantly complaining. You will learn how complaining affects you, others, the gospel, and even God. No one makes us complain, though we would like to think they do. It’s simply our daily choice. Here’s the key:
Each day, make up your mind beforehand to glorify God with your mouth.
Otherwise, you will be glorifying the devil. The choice is yours. | image tagged in bible, god, jesus, christian, love, worship | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DOES "LUCIFER" REALLY MEAN "SATAN?” Here's something you may not know: “lucifer,” which we equate with Satan, does appear in some Bible translations and I have no problem with that. In fact, we can see lucifer in Isaiah 14, where it talks about the fall of Satan, and Ezekiel 28 where it mentions wickedness being found in him. But "lucifer" is actually NOT a proper name. It's a Latin word (derived from the Hebrew word) meaning, "morning star." The actual Latin word is "luciferum." The translators of the Bible's King James Version didn't know what the Hebrew word meant so they literally transliterated the Latin word "lucifer," or “luciferum," or "morning star."; I don't bring that up to get into some tit for tat, but only to point out Mormonism's claim that Lucifer is supposedly the brother of Jesus, and that both were born of physical, sexual relations between God (which can't be because God is a spirit) and one of His “wives,” which makes no sense on many levels, including their use of “lucifer” for the devil’s name when it is not even a proper name. So, it can't be a real character in their story of a supposed family squabble between Jesus and “Lucifer.” I am only picking this apart a bit because Mormonism claims their gospel is better than the Christian gospel and promises us that theirs was also
inspired of God. But with all due respect, how can it be from God if their
whole story is based on a completely flawed use of the word? | image tagged in lucifer, god, satan, bible, jesus, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
