WHAT ARE THE ORIGINS OF THE “WORD OF FAITH” MOVEMENT? [2 of 3] One founder was William Seymour, a student of Charles Parham, and the creator of the Azusa Street Mission in 1906. Those present at the time described absolute chaos, and everyone wanting to preach—most did. Was any speakers vetted to see if they were even Christians? Did anyone ask for a testimony to see if those
teaching the crowd were even saved through Jesus? No, and no. Even some local witches and sorcerers preached. At least Seymour realized they were occult people and stopped them from preaching, but those occult followers continued to attend and practice their weird worship—of who? Also strange for a Church service were reports of kissing between unmarried
persons. One of those who did not preach was Seymour, who just
sat with his head in a crate; from time to time he shouted, "Repent!” | image tagged in word of faith, prosperity preacher, bible, god, jesus, scam | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS MEDITATION OKAY? [4 of 4] What if we just call it "contemplative prayer,” as practiced in some Christian Churches today? You may think Hindu meditation is able to entice the secular world, but can’t snooker Christians. Unfortunately, it's been in the Church for years! In the Christian Church, Hindu evangelizing would not have been able to get away with its real name: “Eastern transcendental meditation.” Instead, they Christianized it, which is the devil’s same old method of repackaging false teachings (lies). This time they did so using Christianese to dupe Christians into thinking the idea came from God. Meditation in the Church was disguised as "contemplative prayer.” Though it says, “prayer,”
it is not from God. Still, that lie has created one of the fastest growing
practices in the America Church today—plain old pagan meditation. And anyone who pushes meditation far enough, will have a spiritual encounter, but it won’t be the Spirit of God. The Bible instructs us to pray WITH our minds. We do contemplate (thinking deeply) while having a real conversation with God, but that’s not what is meant by the term, "contemplative prayer.” It is nothing like Christian prayer to God. "Contemplative prayer has slowly increased in practice and popularity among the emerging church movement—a movement which embraces many unscriptural ideas and practices.” Eastern meditation has been labeled as contemplative prayer to infiltrate Churches by claiming you will have a genuine encounter with God. Again, you eventually will connect with something, but it will not be the Spirit of God. Instead, it will be a
demonic spirit that you do not want to welcome into your life. | image tagged in meditation, yoga, hindu, bible, god, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS YOGA OK? The whole goal of yoga is to commune (bring about a union, or connection) with the demonic Hindu "gods." Though they have 300 million gods, some like Krishna and Rama are more popular. Yoga involves performing physical contortions until you can get your mind into an altered state of consciousness. Other Hindu ways to do so are through repetitive chanting, jumping up and down, rigorous exercise, drugs, or music. Whether those practicing yoga see it or not, Hinduism clearly admits that the goal of yoga is to contact these “gods,” enlisting their help in breaking out of a supposed endless cycle of reincarnation that is caused by the fictitious need to work off bad, past-life karma. They attempt to become like
their gods (demons) by losing themselves in a Hindu deity (demon spirit). This information is straight from their words, and you’ll notice I did not mention any sort of “exercise.” People here in the West have been made to think yoga is just innocent, healthy stretching and fitness. However, it is really Hinduism’s bait to suck Western people in. And once anyone, Hindu or not, begins performing these Hindu religious practices like yoga and meditation, the process will eventually get the person into that altered state of consciousness, quickly becoming demonically “spiritual” in darker and darker ways. Altering your consciousness
does not involve the Spirit of God. Instead, it opens the door
to connect with the demon enemies of humans and God. | image tagged in yoga, meditation, hindu, god, bible, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS MEDITATION OKAY? [3 of 4] Opposite of Christian prayer, Hindu meditation is inwardly focused on one's own spirit, seeking to supposedly gain self-awareness through this occult practice. What does the Bible say about that? Are we supposed to focus on ourselves? No! Romans 8:5-6 tells us to deny ourselves, because focusing inwardly only leads to death. But using our minds to pray to God in a conversation leads to life and peace. So, meditation is nothing at all like biblical prayer. "Those who practice transcendental meditation are setting their minds on their own spirit, looking within themselves in order to transcend themselves, rather than on the Spirit of God. Searching one's own mind—or emptying one's mind of all thought—may result in numbness or a temporary escape from reality, but...cannot bring true [and lasting] peace.” Meditation is for getting people into an altered state of consciousness (a hypnotic state), making them highly suggestible to dark spiritual realms we do not want to mess with. Unfortunately, before getting saved, I practiced meditation as part of the New Age
movement—resulting in close encounters with actual demons! | image tagged in meditation, yoga, god, bible, hindu, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS MEDITATION OKAY? [2 of 4] The Hindu technique of mediation is something Jesus warned us about. He told us not to pray like the pagans, who babble on and on. The Greek root is almost a direct translation from "barbar," referring to the barbarians who lived in foreign lands. The Greeks called them barbarians because when the Greeks heard them speak, it just sounded like, "brah, brah, brah, brah, brah, brah, brah…” So, Jesus is telling us not to be like the pagans, who sound like barbarians when they pray to their idols. And meditation’s mantras (chanting words or phrases) are just repetitious babbling. Jesus said not to do it, because it’s not the same as biblical prayer. When we Christians pray, obviously it is not about the Hindu practice of focusing our mind on repetition of meaningless words or phrases. We pray directly to God, speaking to Him using our mind and intelligible words—we have a conversation—telling Him how much we love
and appreciate Him, as well as requesting help. | image tagged in meditation, god, yoga, hindu, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
