$Millions off of book sales and speaking engagements after leaving office is bad,

$4 billion in the first two years of a term from grift is okay?
2 ups, 1w
You are still confusing public office monetization with private enterprise market valuation.

When Obama or Biden signed $65M publisher contracts or charged $400k for Wall Street speeches, that was liquid cash paid directly to them in exchange for the influence and profile of their government titles.

So a president who makes $4 billion in two years is definitely doing something corrupt, right?

Definitely not. Trump's wealth came from Trump Media. I'm an investor myself. Most stocks and funds have a history showing you exactly how much they've risen and fallen. You can look up how much Trump invested in DJT and do the math yourself on the valuation. You'll see that his wealth increase is directly proportional to that stock's valuation. But all those left-wing media sources you swallow? They don't tell you that part. You just run with everything they say, and you end up with egg on your face as a result.

Truth Social? Goodness gracious, is that thing still around, leaking money like a bucket with a quantum singularity stuck at the bottom of it?

Trump & Co made most of that money from his crypto cons whose plummeting values don't affect how much he got to stick in his pocket when people bought them up (down by 90% in value since...), including the 49% purchased by the United Arab Emirates currying favor from the Grifter-in-Chief.

Huge investment in oil, especially the day before he started bombing Iran for taking those hostages in 1979 (finally, they rescued), and Jr and Fredo being appointed to the boards of several companies quite suitable for raking in those defense contracts.

Trump made $4 billion dollars off of Truth Social tweeterz. Hot diggity dog, this is my new favorite guy.

Dude, you just threw a whole soup of conspiracy theories and total gibberish at the wall hoping something would stick. Let’s actually look at the facts:

First off, DJT is a publicly traded stock on the Nasdaq. Trump owned 114 million shares. When the stock spiked into the $40s, basic math ($40 x 114M) put his paper valuation over $4 billion. That’s public SEC filing data, not a mystery.

Second, he didn't make $4 billion off "crypto cons." World Liberty Financial raised around $30 million total - nowhere near billions - and that UAE rumor you're parroting was a proposal for a non-controlling private venture stake, not billions cash dumped in his lap.

And what in the world are you talking about with 1979? Trump was 33 years old, building a hotel in Manhattan, and Jimmy Carter was president during the Iran hostage crisis. Trump wasn't setting defense policy or trading oil futures back then.

When you have to make up 1979 military conspiracies and confuse paper stock values with crypto sales, you're not making a point - you're just making stuff up. Stick to actual numbers.

No guy, you lost the option for me to read your replies with that truly delightful adventure of you omitting your own words from your own statement and trying to pretend you can call you strawmanning yourself with your hobbled excuse of a fabrication some kind of yippee ki-yay moment.

That's the beauty of it, I no longer have to bother reading your straw-shedding strawmans while still getting to post to my wee heart's content,,,

Imagine declaring victory and running away because you're scared to talk about actual numbers.

You got caught inventing 1979 military conspiracies, confusing paper stock values with crypto sales, and pretending private equity is a taxpayer payout. So now you’re clinging to a single minor phrasing fix like a lifepreserver while sprinting for the exits.

If you ever decide to step back into the real world of market math and basic finance, the facts will still be waiting for you. Enjoy your victory lap over a sentence structure.

Nice try at a "gotcha," but you need to re-read what was actually written.

My original comment was an explicit hypothetical: "If they had made their millions strictly from political salaries... it would be highly suspicious."

Notice the "IF."

⬛ Yeah, I noticed that. In fact, I noticed the whole sentence, including the middle:

▶️ "CentralNYGuy 1 up, 4h, 1 reply

It depends on how they made the money. If they had made their millions strictly from political salaries - like Obama and Joe Biden did - it would be highly suspicious and provide probable cause to suspect corruption"

⬛ Here's something else for the reading audience to notice in case they hadn't noticed that you curiously managed to omit it from your edited quote:

▶️ "CentralNYGuy 1 up, 4h, 1 reply

It depends on how they made the money. ⏩ If they had made their millions strictly from political salaries - like Obama and Joe Biden did ⏪ - it would be highly suspicious and provide probable cause to suspect corruption"

⏩ "If they had made their millions strictly from political salaries - like Obama and Joe Biden did" ⏪

▶️ "If they had made their millions strictly from political salaries - like Obama and Joe Biden did"

⬛ Notice the (non-hypothetical) "did"

Yeah, this little convo is over.

You’re throwing a parade over a grammatical typo because you can't defend any of your actual claims.

Yes, "did" was a poor word choice in a quick comment - the intended phrasing was "like Obama and Biden making millions off public office." But notice how you’re clinging for dear life to a single word so you don't have to address:

DJT's public stock math showing where that $4 billion actually came from.

Your fake "crypto con billions" claim.

Your bizarre conspiracy theory about Trump, oil deals, and the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

You declared the conversation "over" the exact second you realized your financial claims and fake history completely fell apart. Run along then- enjoy the typo victory, because you lost the actual debate.

By the way. ALL of Trump's most recent wealth spike came between the years of 2021 and 2024, when he was out of office. He couldn't have been doing something dubious in office to gain that wealth because he wasn't in office.

I know, I know, I saw the January 6th "Someone find me a tour guide" event live on television too, and I understand that to this day those tourists/cultists/neckbeard terrorists believe Trump was robbed of his second term.

And not to step on their feelz - still raw after all this time - but win or lose, Trump was not in office during the President Biden years.

Trump doubling his wealth by $4 billion in the first two years of his second term happened in 2025 and 2026, not 2021 and 2024. How can the first two years of any term be the first and the last years of said term anyways? I understand departures from logic, but let's not get two distant from this plane of reality.
2 ups, 1w
Oh, now we’re throwing out full-blown ad hominems, J6 tangents, and temporal confusion to distract from getting called out.

First, nobody here brought up J6 or 2021-2024 except you. That’s a classic red herring because your claims about his money and history completely collapsed.

Second, if you're talking about his 2024–2025 net worth leap (which Forbes famously tracked jumping from - $4B in 2024 to $7B+ in 2025), that was driven almost entirely by market moves right around his campaign and election-specifically the public listing and stock spikes of Trump Media (DJT) in 2024 and initial crypto token valuations heading into 2025.

That is paper equity driven by retail investors and open markets. It wasn't a "government paycheck" or taxpayers handing him $4 billion from the U.S. Treasury.

So once again: stock market valuations and paper wealth gains from private assets aren't "presidential corruption." You can pivot to J6, insult people, or pretend time doesn't exist, but market math doesn't change just because you're mad about it

Not only is Trump grifting millions from Americans (in fact he's made over 2 billion in his 2nd term) , he's helping his kids get rich through corruption. How many freaky looking 20 year olds make 150 million in a year?

2 ups, 1w
But he convinced his father that crypto was not necessarily a bad idea, so that's got to be worth $150 million for the suggestion right there.
2 ups, 1w,

Where are you pulling these figures from? The "$2 billion" jump in Trump's net worth is paper equity tied to public stock valuations (DJT) and private real estate holdings - not taxpayer money or a government salary check.

As for the "20-year-old making $150 million" - Barron Trump is listed as a co-founder/advisor for World Liberty Financial, and media estimates put his paper token allocation at roughly $150 million. But locked crypto token paper values on a private venture aren't a liquid cash payout from government corrupt acts- it's private venture equity.

Conflating paper market caps and private crypto token allocations with government corruption doesn't make sense.

Trump reported earning $2.2 billion in revenue during 2025, the first year of his second term, according to his official Office of Government Ethics financial disclosure.

Over half of that ($1.4 billion+) came from crypto ventures. The guy ran for office in 2024 only to make money off his presidency.
1 up, 1w,
1 reply
You’re moving the goalposts because your initial argument completely collapsed. First you claimed he was taking money directly from taxpayers, and now you’re citing gross revenue numbers from an OGE disclosure like it proves your point.

Top-line revenue generated by private companies is not personal income or net profit, and it definitely isn't government compensation. Real estate holdings, licensing deals, and crypto ventures generate commercial revenue through voluntary private transactions on open markets. Zero dollars of that came out of the U.S. Treasury, taxpayer pockets, or a presidential paycheck.

On top of that, the vast majority of the asset structures, public listings, and paper valuations that drove that net worth surge were set up and priced by the market well before he took office. Conflating gross commercial business revenue with "government grift" just shows you don't know the difference between private market activity and public funds.

Posting a public opinion poll is a textbook appeal to popularity fallacy. Public perception doesn't dictate law, accounting standards, or basic economics. A majority of people once believed the earth was flat or that disease was caused by bad air - that didn't make it reality.

If your argument hinges on "a lot of people feel like it's bad," you've officially admitted you can't demonstrate actual corruption, illegal acts, or misappropriated public funds. Feel free to come back when you have actual financial data instead of public sentiment graphics.

Saying he'll be prosecuted once Democrats win a trifecta is an explicit admission that this is about political power through lawfare, not equal justice under the law. That confession says more about you and the Democrats you support than it does Trump or this issue.
2 ups, 1w
No, it is no such admission as he doesn't work for the DNC.

What it is is wishful thinking, because Democrats will do no such thing, other than maybe a tepid attempt designed to fail as they did with the other two bogus tries during Trump's first term and the bogus trials afterwards that were put on perpetual hold by that phony Jack Smith & Co.

Lawfare is Trump's schtick, about the only thing he was ever honest about doing, other than giving the rich a big tax break and all the other goodies he's sending their way gift wrapped

Everyone knows their polls are BS...

The New York Times got caught using them! They used a Company, Wedgewood Polls, that ADMITTED that the Poll Numbers they published were made up and FAKE.

Wedgewood admitted it fabricated its polling and claimed it was an “experimental project.”
1 up, 1w
Yep. No doubt about it - they're all push polls. A push poll isn't a genuine poll at all, but rather a targeted manipulation tactic.

For example:

Persuasion Over Measurement: Instead of gathering respondent opinions, the callers aim to spread biased or false information about an opposing candidate.

Leading Questions: Scripts rely on loaded phrasing (e.g., "Would you still support Candidate X if you knew they were involved in [scandal]?") to plant doubt.

No Demographic Tracking: Legitimate surveys gather demographic background (such as age, party, or location) using representative sampling. Push polls skip demographics entirely, targeting voters solely to spread propaganda.
