There is no gun violence when there's more religion?

Humans are basically evil. Original sin in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve took of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, they let sin into the world. The seed was planted there and it has grown those trees since. If humans follow a higher power they know is watching them, they will be less inclined to do such heinous crimes.

Historically it appears that the answer is yes there is less. Eliminating violence has never been achieved in the history of humanity.

Pretty sure Christianity reduced violence drastically. For instance governments before Christianity would routinely kill anyone for any reason. Sometimes on a whim. After Christianity governments at least need an excuse.

But they built some really nice Gothic cathedrals and have been pretty nice to everyone else on Earth after losing World War II.

Prior to Jimmy Carter criminally insane youths would get placed in insane asylums where they couldn't hurt anyone. Then Carter cut funding to the Mental Health system and the Asylums closed and the criminally insane kids became spree shooters.

Psychiatry became a cult religion of pseudoscience to line the pockets of Big Pharma. Many "doctors" don't know what the hell they are doing and just prescribe drugs which can permanently damage the brain and cause other serious side effects long term - which then require the prescription of more drugs to "cure".

Mental institutions for the insane were closed. Many patients (more and more children and teens, as well as adults) are just given a pill and the "healthcare system" calls it a day. This is on top of false diagnosis.

Maybe because semi-automatic and automatic rifles weren't A. invented or B. widely accessible before previous decades.
