It was clear that the economic stimulus checks are not targeting the correct income brackets. I think it would be a good thing for anyone receiving social security, tribal benefits, and single households under 25k, or married households under 50k, which is still a lot of money...maybe use the FAFSA requirement threshold for income related grants as a qualifier in addition to giving everyone making under 1.5k a month on social security... to receive something for this toiling economy. If we have programs to give thousands of dollars to educate foreigners, and poor families who in the end might not graduate or contribute to the economy, why not shift that money elsewhere to the ones in dire need. Inflation is caused by uncontrollable spending. I guess if the government wants to give the people some money to spend uncontrollably, that's actually money they spend uncontrollably, I say it's obviously clear that the government as a whole is failing. If it resorts to the people having control of the spending then we would have a entire new America. I guess what I'm saying is that it is a crap shoot either way. But if it has to be a matter of the government throwing billions to the wind to save banks and save car manufacturers, and schools, they should throw it to the people to decide what companies deserve to survive, vs being paid off by the government to survive. Either way someone is being paid off to make the gears turn.
