The idea that the husband and the wife have different leadership roles within the home is very normal, only within the last century has anyone contested that. There's a huge difference between saying men and women perform different roles in marriages and encouraging the beating women. No verse in the Bible permits, condones, or encourages the mistreatment of wives. Bonus observation: Ephesians tells wives to submit to their husbands, while it tells children to obey their parents. That is a distinction, if Paul meant that women should be completely subject to their husband's every order and punishment like children are, it would have also said obey, not submit. You clearly don't know your Bible well, and I recommend reading it instead of straw manning it. You might learn something, you might even receive eternal life.

You should probably try reading the bible instead of depending on what someone told you the Bible says. It literally starts with "wives, be subject to your husbands" Husbands are supposed to love the wife as they love their own body.

Are you that dense? Plus husband are commanded to sacrifice their life to protect their wives! Husbands have it harder! Seems you are the one that needs to do some good Bible study.

Are you not aware that sacrifice and submit are different words that mean different things?

Spending your labor and time for your family is not submitting yourself to your wife's commands.

Oh, so now it's gone from "husbands have to submit to their wives" to husbands have to submit to their wives because wives is included in "one another out of reverence to Christ".

Because wives have to submit to everyone, and then on top of that they're commended to submit to their husbands. Husbands don't get that extra layer. Just wives.
