What's annoying about that country is how they did their nuclear weapons program. You know how in the US it was done in the middle of a desert because nobody knew what would happen at first and as such had a minimal impact of all sorts of life. . .well, those no-brain-trusts in France thought it would be a wonderful idea to do testing at Algeria too close to human population and/or too much animal/plant life then moved operations to islands that were too darn small for such things. And apparently Algerians are still pissed at France over that.
I do believe France's dumbass decisions inspired in a small way the OG Godzilla movie.
