Maybe. I'm sure plenty of Iranians are happy that tyrant is gone and many may be secretly rejoicing.
They probably also don't like being bombed by a foreign superpower either, let alone Israel and the US. 🤷
And people tend to not take kindly to having their home bombed and will possibly fight (and die) defending it.
Anyway, Khamenei was already very old and saw this coming, and likely has a string of successors. He may have been a theocratic autocrat, but he wasn't stupid.
Neither are the proud Iranian people. And Iran ain't Syria. It won't be a walk in the park.
It's a formidable regional military power (up to 1 million troops can be mobilized – 600K + reservists) so I hope the US and allies (UK) can spare the manpower. 💪
UK army has around 110K *total* highly trained soldiers and they're not all deployable to Iran.
Iran has powerful friends, allies and proxies, difficult geography (mountains and deserts), and still a shit ton of ballistic missiles and drones.
A ground invasion would be carnage for all involved,, so.good luck if anyone is crazy enough to try that.💀 I hope even Trump isn't unhinged enough for that.
Afghanistan 2.0. (That went well, America. 20 years for not much. You coulda built a lot of hospitals with that money.)
Even US mega bunker-buster bombs can't take out the Iranian nuclear program that's buried deep in a mountain. It's basically surface-level damage at Fordow.
Good luck.
