I think he knows, he is a typical liberal, using justification as an excuse. The same argument that it costs money to get an ID falls apart when you need the same ID for other purposes. The ability to vote is not the only reason to have an ID.

Another consideration, if the demonrat part really did think minorities could never afford to vote why are they bussing people to polling centers, why not pay for the ID too? In the end all the excuses reach one truth, dems want to cheat on elections.

I think that causes some of the confusion. The most common type of ID is a driver's license which is not free unlike a general ID.

No. There is a cost. Under the SAVE act you have to prove your citizenship. If you don't have your birth certificate on hand, you'll need to order one from the State.

And those aren't free.

Are you married? Did you change your name after marriage? Do you have that documentation? No? You'll also need to order that from the state.

Stupid justification award. You have to show an ID to get into DNC events, and to write checks, this could go on awhile, but you already know there is no rational argument against voter. The entire premise that minorities do not have IDs already and can't get one is racist.

That lame excuse brings us back to the question: Why do Democratic politicians say it's racist? Most of the country agrees with asking for voter ID.

The demonrats can't win without illegal votes, this has zero to do with an ID and everything to do with maintaining power.

They say it's racist because that's how it was used back in the Jim Crow days. they set a tax on the polls. If you want to vote, you have to pay. They set the price just high enough that most poor people couldn't afford it.

And Black people in the south made up a disproportionate amount of the poor.

Now you're probably thinking, "That was then, this is now. That isn't going to happen."

In 2018 and 2020, polling locations in predominantly black neighborhoods were closed due to "budget shortfalls" that resulted in very long lines at the remaining locations YET those same counties had plenty of polling locations in white neighborhoods.

Do you see how racism shows up in elections today?

Now imagine that same county having to issue voter IDs. Do you think there's going to be a lot of easy to access locations? Or do you think there will be only a few locations located in white neighborhoods where the wait time is measured in hours?

So, now they'll have to take a day off of work. Taht's missing pay OR using a sick/vacation day. Then traveling. Then having to pay for that ID.

How long do you think the wait time will be? You already know it won't be issued immediately. There will be a wait time.

Because today people of color still make up a disproportionate amount of the poor.

There is a huge problem when you want people to believe the party of slavery, Jim Crow and the KKK suddenly cares about minority rights. Even if someone fell for the already debunked lie that the two major parties have changed positions over the years, you have to get past the recent realizations that show otherwise. The open borders, hiding crime statistics, election fraud generally only comes from dems, massive links to Epstein, monetary fraud, international terror and crime groups and more.

You want everyone to forget all that and trust that just this once the party leadership is concerned about the voting opportunity of the same people they oppressed for centuries.

Let's forget the constitution already allows voter ID law, billions all over the world live with them, and many in countries much poorer than ours. And let's keep pretending that this is all about helping poor people's vote. Simple enough to fix, spend some of the stolen billions in tax dollars to pay for IDs, You already ballot harvest and bus them to harass law enforcement, taking a few to vote should be easy enough.
