Conservatives are less likely to take mental health issues seriously and because of that, they are less likely to see a professional and get diagnosed with a mental health illness. It doesn't mean they are less likely to have a mental illness, they are just less likely to do something about it.

You forgot the stigma factor. Because of the stigma, conservatives are more reluctant to get help, and even more reluctant to admit or report that they do. These polls are based on self reporting, so they are already biased by the willingness of people to be open about what issues they may have and what they're doing about it.

Do your own research. Check out the Pew research data from 2020 where 56% of young white liberal women were diagnosed with mental health conditions compared with 27% of conservative white women.

I dare say if they did a study today it would involve even worse numbers with this progressive group of emotionally driven, mentally vacant females.

I checked out Pew Research and found this:

Conservatives are less educated. More highly educated adults have consistently liberal views.

Explains why Trump has always said loves his uneducated MAGA base.

Conservatives tend to be less educated, more gullible, and less connected to reality

That's another thing, modes of behavior that are accepted in some areas and not in others. Made worse by the fact that people in the Bible Belt assume that they're the norm, and everything they do thus is normal, and thus everything everybody else does elsewhere just has to be worse. They don't realize that some of the not-so-seemly stereotypes that are applied to them are not exactly considered ordinary elsewhere.

Yup...seems one would want to share source, but of course it is opinion. Opinions dont need data and therefore we get a reply of DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!

No, 56% & 27% were not diagnosed with mental health issues, 56% & 27% REPORTED that they were when polled. Researchers did not take sample groups of each to diagnose and measure mental health rates.

Anything from being informed on psychiatric issues to the willingness to seek help if necessary as well as access to mental health care (which is far less common and more difficult to get to in rural areas, just like other medical care and dentistry. And we all know know about that world renowned dentistry) to the reluctance of reporting if they do all are factors which shift the numbers.

When someone is too ashamed to admit that they do the results are going to be different than someone who gets some sort of attention seeking street cred when they chat about it with their friends over lunch while sipping a Venti at Starbucks.

Haha why not share your source so I can read it as well? You are trying to state a fact using data. Why hide it? Don't answer....I know the OP is opinion! You have verified it with no link to source! Lamo!!!!

Seems libs are smarter according to your source....

Here is a summary of relevant, valid research regarding education and political affiliation:
Education Divide: Research indicates that in recent elections, voters with college degrees have tended to favor Democratic candidates, while those without a college degree have increasingly favored Republican candidates, particularly Donald Trump.

Ideological Gaps: Pew has found that highly educated adults (especially those with graduate degrees) are more likely to hold liberal positions.

Perceptions of Intelligence: A 2025 YouGov survey asked Americans to rate the perceived IQ of various political figures, with respondents showing divided views rather than a consensus on any one side having a significantly lower average IQ.
