Alex Pretti had the right to own a gun. I do not know if he had the right to carry a concealed weapon to a protest. I'm not familiar with MN gun law. Law enforcement also has the right to protect themselves. Struggling with someone who is carrying a gun is a volatile situation. I grew up with guns. They are not toys. They are dangerous. You don't trot them around like movie props. Alex Pretti showed poor judgment. Doesn't matter if he was right or wrong. He is dead.

Kyle Rittenhouse also showed poor judgment in carrying a gun to a protest. He didn't die, but someone else did. The Right praised Rittenhouse. I do not praise someone with poor judgement that killed someone. Yes, he was attacked by an idiot, but he should not have had a gun, legal or not.

It was legal, but it was still stupid. Yes, the idiots attacked him, but the whole thing could have been avoided, and the idiot would still be alive. Gun ownership requires a certain level of common sense and responsibility. A gun is not a toy or a movie prop.
