The thing is this and a bunch like it on a plane are AI.

I looked into it in 2024 when I ran into one of them to verify. While searching, I found a whole pile of similar which all turned out to be fakes.

Why the aged blurry photo then? I've never seen AI do that.

I saw two 1970s Polaroid looking pictures on Pinterest today, both of the same woman, and both saying that they were AI modified. I didn't get a copy though.

You see blurry pictures like this all the time on the front page, the captions even with the same sort of blurred pixelation. That's one of the giveaways of the many stolen reposts on this site, they've been recycled into blurriness.

But even if you don't copy and recopy a picture to get the desire, you just get a small resolution version of it, and blow it up. I waste an inordinate amount of time searching for large high resolution pics. Just tap my memes and see. Low resolution looks more like this, high resolution, looks more HD.

Yeah, some of the quality is really bad. Any photo-editing software has a sharpen tool. Even Windows 11 has a fairly decent photo editor.

So I took one of my templates (Disaster Smoker Gal kitchen sink edition).

The 1st to the left (dang I forgot to number them) is 1440x1687 px resolution.

The 2nd was made with the meme generator but without using the original resolution, and that came out to 500x585 px.

The 3rd I used the site's image resizer, and reduced it down to 25%, coming out to 125x146.

The 4th I resized that 125x146 one by 500%, coming out to 625x730.

So you can see from left to right some quickie degradation, with increasing blurriness.

No different than a watermark, or a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy!

Yep, higher resolution is the best. I try to do around 1600x2100 px minimum, then apply a slight sharpen filter.
