My Dad was a college track coach in the 1960s.When they went to meets in Kansas, restaurants refused to serve the black athletes. The other coach was a prick and would go in with all the white athletes and have dinner, my Dad would sometimes be able to get food out the back door and they ate in the Checker busses, other times he would go to a grocery store to buy food.
My bedroom was next to my folk's, and I can't count the times my Dad would be outraged about the bigotry and talk with my Mom about what happened. He didn't care what anyone's skin color was, if a young man had athletic ability, wanted a college education and wanted to aim for being a national champion, he had a scholarship for them. Actually just had to want to aim for athletic excellence, be the best he could be. My Dad did coach a lot of national champions. A scholarship often meant a deferral from the draft- that was a huge deal.
There was an active KuKluxKlan chapter in our town in Colorado in the 60s too. The only real racists I encountered regularly were my Democrat teachers in school. I developed a hatred for democrats because of them and the crap they pumped out in class.

Absolutely, I always look at who is denying the truth. The more they accuse others, the more guilt they bear. I met a lady who grew up in Memphis a few years ago. She said the saddest day in her life was when MLK was killed. She lived in a typical integrated neighborhood where all the kids played baseball or kid games together until the sun went down, like everywhere else, but at the end of that day, every parent was fearful of riots or violence and wouldn't let their kids play in the streets. All their best friendships withered away and it was the first time she ever saw racism.
I was going to say keep on rocking in the free world, but I remembered that line came from someone we don't need around anyhow.

The Left uses racism to control the narrative. They must keep it alive.
