The government is not profiting off of health care, it's paying for it. And it's a justifiable expense: preventative health care is a huge savings down the road; people who get treated at clinics don't cost us all $15,000 by showing up at the Emergency Room, getting treated there, and not being able to pay.

But even the healthcare itself is snagging more money than it needs... we’ve all heard the stories of people being charged for things they never used, or surgeries being hundreds of thousands of dollars... it’s an evil business is some aspects and the government regulates it

Surgeons aren't stealing: heath insurance companies are leeching money out of all of us like ticks; the adversarial practice of suing to recover malpractice costs means that all doctors and hospitals have to take on a costly extra level of insurance; and the lack of preventative care (that could be provided at cost and at scale by the government) means that we pay a lot for fixing things that we could have just maintained.
