I am not a fan of his but when I visited family in GA they took me to the little white house, it is close to Atlanta. Anyway, once I was there, I realized because of the quick spread of radio and his connection to WW2 he was the man responsible for the myth the Democrats were for the common man and pro-job, pro 2nd amendment and a host of other BS. No one believes their lies now, but he convinced the people in his day, and we see Dims running the same scams.

FDR was literally one of the best presidents of all time. The Depression and War both under his terms…. Now that’s a lot. Stop caring about the guns.

I'll give him being a great wartime president, not trying to run the show as Hitler did. His economic stupidity prolonged the depression here longer than virtually anywhere else in the world. The stock market didn't return to pre-war levels until the late 1940s

I am not sure that was all his fault WW2 was expensive and caused massive shortages, stocks were not as important as winning was. The manufacturing boom to support the war effort turned everything around faster than political shenanigans did.

As I recall, he was real big on packing the Supreme Court, much like we see from the Dems today. His WPA, CCC, and a few others were important in allowing people the dignity and purpose of work when there weren't enough private businesses hiring. "Welfare" will be better when it is more along those lines. Much better than throwing money at people to do no useful service for humanity or themselves.

He was the President Trump of his era, right man at the right time.
