The DOJ is looking into what powerful and influential leftists were behind that essentially illegal order and what their motivations may have been and if any notorious money-people are funding them so that they WOULD generate this order.
Yes, after living in Illinois for a little bit as a child, it really doesn't surprise me. But, it is really bad when one law enforcement entity refuses to protect another.

If things get hot for the influential leftists behind the scenes they will claim that the top law enforcement official made that decision all on his own. But we all know better than that.
I am inclined to agree in retrospect. Bit I also think that it may depend on why that order was issued. Meh, but that's for the courts to decide. We live in interesting times.
I mean if its illegal to not respond to crime at the state level then yeah, state crime. Just depends on the state. We need to remember this for when the dems cheat their way into the white house again.

I did see a video of a masked man spraying pepper spray in a woman's face with no provocation. That one agent should be investigated, tried, and sentenced, but the majority of them are just enforcing the law.
Request says they were surrounded, not that they were seeking police help in round up.
Plus the ICE agents were armed, so the situation could escalate in a manner CPD might be able to defuse,,,
