There was a lot of people on the left inappropriately celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder on social media, though.

I didn’t know about the John McCain incident but that’s a fair point. I hope those people lost their jobs over it just like I’m glad the people who celebrated Charlie’s murder are still losing their jobs too.

I wouldn't go as far as hoping people would lose their jobs for exercising their right to free speech. But just because I have the right to own a gun and hunt with it doesn't mean I should go shoot every little thing I see in the woods just for the heck of it.

People have no respect and even less shame, but unless they're specifically violating a rule at their job or school or whatever public forum they're on, they shouldn't be dismissed just because they're being crass and have no pride.

It’s better than hoping they just die. You can always find another job, but you only have one life to lose which is I do not wish them to die or be killed for expressing their hatred towards Charlie.

Celebrating murder and mocking a dead public figure are not the same. Though both are distasteful in my opinion, one is worse than the other.
