The 2nd Amendment is the right to defend yourself from tyranny. It might be enlightening to read all about the U.S. history of the Revolutionary war and all of the conditions that led up to it. All of your rights were purchased by the blood of innocent patriots fighting with firearms to obtain and defend the freedoms that you enjoy today. The 2nd Amendment is what ensure you have all your other rights. Without the 2nd Amendment, the government has no resistance from taking all of your rights away.
