So the official explanation for why the IRS let the Clinton Foundation off the hook was the fraud was so monstrously huge it was too big for the IRS to take on.

The Uranium One controversy involves various conspiracy theories promoted by conservative media, politicians, and commentators that characterized the sale of the uranium mining company Uranium One to the Russian state-owned corporation Rosatom as a $145 million bribery scandal involving Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation. No evidence of wrongdoing was ever found.

She was selling uranium to the Russians bro. Even if it were "legal" you really want someone like that in power?

No, she wan't. There were nine government agencies who had to sign off on that deal. Hillary was not personally involved because that was not something the secretary of State did.
At the time, the New York Times received a statement from former assistant secretary Jose Fernandez, who was appointed to the CFIUS during the Uranium One deal. “Mrs. Clinton never intervened with me on any C.F.I.U.S. matter,” Fernandez told the Times.

So while Clinton may have been briefed on the matter, according to Fernandez, the secretary did not personally approve the deal.

Assuming they were telling the truth. She knew it was going down and should have stopped it from happening and they gave her 4 million right around that time. Bad timing? I think not.

She could have stopped it or told them to go ahead with it. I also recall she had a meeting with people involved.

No evidence of wrongdoing was ever found. Once again, Republicans accused her of wrong doing, but never brought any charges or showed any evidence. They have been doing this for 30 years. No evidence, no charges, no trials, no crime....
In over 30 years, with all the Republicans have ever said about her, they have never charged her with anything. How stupid do you have to be to keep falling for the same stunt for 30 years? Even after 11 hours of testimony on Benghazi, they found her NOT guilty of any crime.
Hillary was NOT PERSONALLY INVOLVED because that was not something the Secretary of State did. Wasn't up to her.

But the old memos are now re-surfacing, and the "deep state" may yet face a reckoning from what may prove the largest political scandal of modern times."
