But they though religion was necessary for the country to survive.

They thought freedom of religion was necessary. Maybe they were getting sick of people burning women for being a witch. The country was originally operated on mythical beliefs, and stories passed down my tribes. The freedom of religion was necessary to protect tribal beliefs. But yet tribal people were banned in practices of their religion throughout the years. Wether this knowledge was passed on before the constitution and bill of rights was written, it was placed there for a reason. But because a vast majority of religion revolves around Christianity, most Christians close their mind to a reality that not everyone believes in their God the colonies were founded with the saints and the strangers. The strangers probably got their name because it was strange that they didn't have the same religious beliefs as the saints

England ran the Church and corrupted it. So religion was made to be free from the state.

Last I recalled the Spanish was America's invaders first but must have made a sweet deal and left north America first, or they got scared or slotered like the Plymouth rock incident. History could be a lie, especially the history of North America.

No it was the Vikings. Spain claimed a lot of US territory.
"AI Overview
All the Spanish colonies in America. : r/MapPorn
Yes, Spain claimed a significant portion of what is now the United States. At its peak, Spain's North American empire included Florida, the Gulf Coast, and vast territories west of the Mississippi River, encompassing much of the modern-day southwestern United States, including California, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. Forgot about those guys. .. Canada basically.. but even more so shows that history got it wrong with Christopher, and that today we still don't know the full story let alone questioning why we have a freedom of religion, yet religion still seems to get the upper hand.

Vikings landed in the area around Boston. They didn't stay or report it.

People have a phycological need for religion.

People should have a psychological need to feel better knowing that they go beyond somewhere when they die, and a comfort knowing where they came from and how they got here.

Not al religion include that. Wokeism meets the definition of a non-theistic religion.

Anyone can believe in aliens but if someone publishes a book and gather people and tell the story of how a man came to earth from Mars and then a women arrived to earth from Venus, and find a clever explanation how earth was formed, and gain followers enough to register as a church, then anyone can form a religion. still the church of alien believers deserve the political right to evade taxes and grow a fortune. But the government has the right to step in if a religious group becomes a cult. Hopefully it's not to late when they do.

They didn’t create a democracy.

And they were very faith based in their beliefs and values; they just didn’t want a state run religion. The Founding Fathers favored a secular government that protected religious liberty without privileging any faith.
