Government can indeed control markets. Example: Covid lockdowns. Over Taxation. Stock market manipulation. Devaluing the dollar. Regulating common goods. Picking and legislating corporate winners and losers. Wasteful government spends like Green New Deal. Sending monies to dictators and disrupting the flow of commerces.
