I don’t think this should be done. I don’t see any way you could divide Canada to create a big-enough conservative state(s) to balance out the liberal one(s) added to the union. And Canada has a ton of Asian immigrants who are going to create more competition for well-paying jobs that should be going to native-born citizens.

I am 100% for this. I think Canada becoming part of the U.S. is a good idea. I am for Canada U.S. schengen for there are many people living in border towns and I find it pointless of them to go through needless bureaucracy of border checks everytime they do as much as go to the store across the street for milk. Even though I am for basic border security in general. I also like the European Union's schengen area. Another example of U.S. Canada border checks everytime as unnecessary is the Detriot-Windsor Tunnel bus. People who live in Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario use this bus to commute to places across the border they frequently visit such as their workplace. Imagine going through border checks on your daily commute to work, even the bus drivers themselves have to go through border checks everytime. It's also an economically viable thing to do for Canada is a main trading partner of America and many Canadian provinces have a lot in common with many U.S. states. Saskatchewan and Alberta are well known for their farming and oil industries much like North Dakota, Arkansas, Texas, etc. Ontario and British Columbia are also known for their tech and entertainment industries much like New York, California, etc. I am all for U.S. Canada unity and not have aggressive nationalism create division between the nations. I would much rather trust Trump than Trudeau as a leader anyway.

Not really, especially when you factor in what a drag the South has been literally since the Colonial Era.
There's a reason why it's very difficult for US citizens to emigrate two to Canada. Look what Southerners did to Chicago and Detroit, imagine them moving up to Toronto and whatnot.

That map that I showed you the other day, with the Coastal and Northern States joined with Canada would be the biggest economy on the planet local plus with less economic drainage from the aforementioned South.
