There is no legal basis for the claim that Biden is above the law. There is no question that obstruction of justice is an impeachable offense and no question that abuse of the pardon power can constitute obstruction. The only question that remains is how Congress would respond to such an act—particularly whether, in the face of sustained public outcry, Democrat members of Congress would hold the president accountable for his abuse of power.
