I figure that as the guns are bought up the price goes up the supply goes down and the black market value rises.

The black Market in gun sales very definitely will sky rocket the moment the 2nd Amendment hating Political Left put their mandatory schemes into motion.

Thus, the government should pay more (fair market value) for each firearm they buy.

That is defeatist thinking.

They should do no buying.

The federal governments job is manage finances to provide for the well being and defense of the American people.

Every gun law, no matter how innocuous, violates your unalienable RIGHT, not privilege, RIGHT, to keep and bear arms, without infringement, as is constitutionally recognized.

The 2nd amendment does not give you the right, it acknowledges every individual possesses that right by virtue of his existence.

It would be "unlawful" and "fascist" to legislate amending the constitution that seeks to remove an irrevocable right.

The government cannot vacate human rights.

It can only ignore them and subject them to authoritarian governance.

You cannot take what is not yours to take without permission from the individual or through theft.

Agree 100%
Houston does an annual VOLUNTARY gun buyback. But they don’t pay near enough the value of the firearm.

They could probably pawn it for more cash.

I think they do those buybacks in an attempt to solve cold cases more than removing guns from the "streets".

A gun held and surrendered by the average person was not out there in them streets like Kamala says she is.

It’s a lot of abused and broken pieces of steel turned in. most of it gets scrapped. Although Arizona passed a law requiring cities who do gun buybacks to sell the firearms.

Democrats are why Americans stay armed. The more crime we face the more weapons we buy, the more the people causing the problems demand we disarm, the more weapons we buy. I am having to store some outside, I ran out of room.

I always hark back to what happened to the disarmed Australian People during the world-wide COVID scamdemic when those refusing to take an experiments mRNA 'vaccine' were rounded up and put into camps until they would let themselves be injected -- so that they could go back to earning a living for their families -- or sat there for the scamdemic's duration.

Hell . . . it was never clear what precisely happened. Perhaps the unarmed citizens were simply forcefully injected once they were inside the camps.

Free people who allow themselves to be disarmed by their leftist infected government are no longer free. They permanently morph into serfs and are allowed to PRETEND to be free only as long as their government allows them that pretense.

Yep and also after 'winning' their revolutions and while consolidating their power Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong also disarmed their populations. Different leftist philosophical ideologies but same end results.

Always like the scene in Mad Max Thunderdome, where checks in all the weapons before entering.

The rumor was that after World War II, the Poles buried and hid all their weapons before the communist Russians could confiscate them. The USSR feared a massive countrywide conflict when activist Lech Walsea demanded concessions from the Soviets in the 1980’s
