Yup... they're backing Kamala so that the Epstein and Diddy lists will never get released to the public... Hoffman and Gates are sweating profusely....

And not a teen aged boy in sight.

The rich get richer when democratic socialism/communism is established.

Upvoted. But since you are asking this of the idiots who could not detect Joe Biden's blatantly obvious Dementia affliction for three and a half years but BELIEVED that Mean Tweets were destroying this nation . . . hahahahahaha! Good one.

Yeah sure.

They have just waited 250 years to DEMAND the government take more of their money.

Nonsense.

Nothing has prevented him from living modestly and giving his wealth away if that was truly what he desired.

Thank you for reinforcing my position.

The wealthy, singularly, or in coalition, removing the welfare burden from the state, would have allowed the state to apply communal funds to the national debt.

Of course, the people could elect representatives that actually represent the people and have the ability to balance a checkbook.

It's easy, do not spend more than you bring in.

You're free to assume whatever motivation you want for wealthy people donating to Kamala...even if it is in direct opposition to what some of them are saying.

You did not address why these benevolent fighters for the underprivileged have withheld their generous philanthropy since forever and are determined to do so until, by gosh, they can donate enough money to a campaign that gets some president elected that will force them to cough up the dough.

First of all your question is a false premise.. well.. 2 false premises...

1. Who said they are withholding $$?

Many of them donate billions to various causes. Mark Zuckerberg for one. And he's pledged to give away 99% of his Facebook shares.... Pretty sure Buffet has done similar things as well. Along the same lines as Andrew Carnegie.

2. You seem to be pretending the rich care only about tax policy and that it can be the only reason for supporting a candidate.

As Modda pointed out a rising tide raises all boats, including their own. So maybe that is also a factor to them?... idk.

But you're asking my opinion about what the motivation is for a whole group of rich people to donate to someone who has talked about raising taxes is. I told you some of them have actually said they want higher taxes and you seem to be saying no they dont because reasons. But we seem to be literally debating the feelings of other people. And not even specific individuals. Idk. So what is your opinion of why they donated to Kamala?

False premise?

They have more money left they could have given away but instead held onto. That sounds like the definition of withholding.

I guess that's why they are so desperate to get communista Kamala elected because she will force them to hand over the money they want to give away but just can't make themselves let go of on their own.

Ok so it sounds like you are saying that billions of dollars or even 99% would not be enough. Zuckerberg would still be withholding that 1%!!! πŸ™„

Did you have this much scrutiny over trump claiming he "donated his salary"?

Also... "Communista" Kamala? Which Kamala Harris policies are communist?

You hear incorrectly.

Let me be clear as I always have been clear (sound familiar?);

I stated - Nothing has ever prevented her billionaire/millionaire/tycoon donors from giving away their money, meaning they no longer possess it nor control its use.

Your assertion that they need her elected to force them to give up their money lacks merit for the reason stated above.

Well, my very good friend, so no time is wasted arguing whether it is a Biden policy, her old policy, her hypothetical policy, her misunderstood policy, her revised policy or her current policy, you tell me what her policies are and I will identify the communist ones for you.

Oh, and suffer me one question:

Who doesn't love a yellow school bus, right?

"Nothing has ever prevented her billionaire/millionaire/tycoon donors from giving away their money, meaning they no longer possess it nor control its use."

?? Clearly there is something or things which prevent that because they do still have a lot of money. They donate some and they keep some. The death tax takes from whatever is left when they die.

Small business tax credits, child tax credits, pro choice (meaning she would never sign an abortion ban.. which I do believe is the end goal for the right), universal background checks for guns, pretty sure she supported the bipartisan border bill...

Stuff can also be found here:

But you're the one calling her a commie so you should know why.

We aren't debating anything.

I am stating nothing stops them from taking the initiative in unburdening themselves of their money.

And you are stating something about boats and feelz.

Who entrusts the government with making good financial decisions?

They got the US in 34+ trillion in debt. πŸ˜„

"We aren't debating anything."

That's debatable.
πŸ˜‰

"I am stating nothing stops them from taking the initiative......"

How about having the time? Some might not want to deal with trying to decide which causes would be best to donate to.

Also as I said maybe tax policy isn't their sole concern.

I mentioned a rising tide raising all boats (including their own). Basically if you help the poor and middle class it ends up helping the rich as well.

And feels because ya this conversation is about feels. The feels of the rich people.

"Who entrusts the government with making good financial decisions? They got the US in 34+ trillion in debt."

Well as I posted already in the meme Kamala will give us less debt so....

I was surprised about Bannon too.

Perhaps they're not so completely blinded by the quest for wealth to not realize that increasing disparity is not in their best overall interest. Short term gains won't mean much the long run when the long term is faced with a shrinking economy. 70% of the economy's consumer driven. If what they have to spend shrinks, so does the income flow to those generating the most capital from it.

Henry Ford created middle class by raising wages, the logic being the more money in the pockets of workers, the more they have to buy your product, as well as spending the community, thus also broadening the pool to profit from. Less costlier products also help stimulate the general economy. The more money in their pockets consumers have to spend, the more they will spend, and the more the richer will benefit from that. Feudal economies got to be placed by mercantile economies which will replace by capitalism, each step in evolution generating more wealth along the way.

An ultra-rch class and a growing poor class ultimately means a contracting economy, which means the rich won't see their riches grow as much and as quick.

A rising tide raises all boats (including their own)... not a crazy theory. Makes sense.

Idk if I come across like I think the rich are saints or something but that's not what I was going for.

Naah, you didn't. You were just dealing with the issue through the lens of reality.

I just posted that to you because I didn't feel like doing the endless back and forth with these folks whose sole purpose here is to be contrarians in the name of trump.

Ya I hear ya...

I'm still not even 100% clear what the OP's position is on the motivation for donating to Kamala's campaign... they seem to be trying to negate possible reasons but not saying anything definitive. πŸ€”

Idk.. it's not the most interesting topic though tbh

OR. . .now this may seem like a really radical idea. . .BUT. . .they can also use their billions of dollar to create businesses which create jobs.

Fact!

That's like making stone soup after the soup was already made. And eaten.

I'm going to go not very far out on a limb and say the rich people already have a business or businesses... and they may or may not want to deal with additional businesses.

Some clearly do (Shark Tank) but some might not.
