Also I'm not sure you are considering the fact that the "trickling down" and economic results that the somewhat recent corporate trump tax cuts were supposed to deliver were underwhelming at best. In context of him trying to repeal healthcare for the poor, it seems like a bad look. Tax cuts for the rich, no healthcare for the poor. Maybe "virtue signaling", maybe guilt.

The rich living modestly and donating their extra money to whatever causes might be a good thing but might not do much for problems like the national debt. And political campaign donations definitely won't do much to help anyone (unless the candidate wins and does stuff to help). I understand a decent amount of donations to trump's campaign have ended up in his lawyer's pockets.

In any case I'm not sure Kamala can just raise taxes without Congress anyway.

The wealthy, singularly, or in coalition, removing the welfare burden from the state, would have allowed the state to apply communal funds to the national debt.

Of course, the people could elect representatives that actually represent the people and have the ability to balance a checkbook.

It's easy, do not spend more than you bring in.

You're free to assume whatever motivation you want for wealthy people donating to Kamala...even if it is in direct opposition to what some of them are saying.

You did not address why these benevolent fighters for the underprivileged have withheld their generous philanthropy since forever and are determined to do so until, by gosh, they can donate enough money to a campaign that gets some president elected that will force them to cough up the dough.

OR. . .now this may seem like a really radical idea. . .BUT. . .they can also use their billions of dollar to create businesses which create jobs.

I'm going to go not very far out on a limb and say the rich people already have a business or businesses... and they may or may not want to deal with additional businesses.

Some clearly do (Shark Tank) but some might not.
