The argument of "owing" would be circular, if the out of Africa theory is indeed fact, because everyone would just wind up owing themselves.

White people have lived in Africa alongside black people for hundreds of years without darkening, and Australia has climate zones about the same as many European countries but haven’t been bleached. It has more to do with having certain dominant vs recessive traits as family groups migrated.
