I was reading comments on the "Delusional..." video and there seems to be mass agreement that he's totally oblivious to his own cringe. And none of it is a put-on.
I actually caught a few minutes of him doing a public speaking gig at my college ages ago. I walked in to hear him talking about how his folks weren't the most pleasant, using him for the money and always calling him fat. But then it was just him droning on and on and repeating about him getting called fat and how depressed he was about getting called fat and then they kept calling him fat.... so I departed after a few.
This was decades ago, so he was still on the younger side, and I felt bad, but I felt worse that my school actually had to pay this guy our (parents') money to just whine endlessly about what everybody else got from their parents too. After all, the whole point of parenting is to be so horrible at it that your kids do what they can to get a decent job and get the fhuck out and move as far away as possible.
Unless you're Italian. For some strange reason, unlike other folks, those people actually like their fellow family members. Usually.
