I was horrified when I heard about this stuff around 2016 - 17 on another site. It got to where I stopped reading about it because it was that disturbing.

Then somebody said something and I did some further checking, and a couple of things turned up. One is that the increase has a lot to do with the redefinition of rape in Sweden, a broadening of the term which now categorizes a lot of acts as rape criminally that weren't previously considered rape.

Another was that most of the cases actually had immigrants themselves as the victims, and again, this had to do with a redefining of the term, plus increased reporting that came with a campaign to increase awareness among immigrants that help was available to them.

Still, in order to avoid stories which were hard to take, I didn't do any more research into it. Incidents from New Years at Cologne to the Finland ferry incident to the Rotherham, etc, rapes, are still out there.

Yeah because North Korea is the happiest place on earth with it's 0% tax rate and even has a holiday celebrating it ...oh wait.

That's beacuse no one makes money there. They are dirt poor. It's one of those democrat-like "manufactured holiday".

The average tax rate in the world is 31.37%, the European average is 32% and the OECD average is 41.58%. In the Nordic countries however, the tax rates are higher with Denmark at 55.56%, Finland at 51.25%, Iceland at 46.22%, Norway at 47.2% and Sweden at 57% 6 .

So, Scandinavia countries and North Korea are hellholes. Not like I would ever live any of those.

Well I would rather be taxed in Europe and get a lot back for my taxes in the form low crime rates, top quality healthcare and clean livable infrastructure than be taxed in a Democrat run city like San Francisco and get streets crawling with homeless drug addicts and littered with human feces and used fentanyl needles. Also The Heritage Foundation's index of economic freedom, Scandinavian countries are in the top 10 for being the most free market while the U.S. is only the 25th most free market.

I wouldn’t live in a democratic run city either. Fortunately there are plenty of cities ran by conservatives that are low crime, clean, with livable infrastructure. As far as healthcare, it’s not an issue for me. I have a great insurance coverage, though it’s been 9 years since I’ve had any type of issue where I needed anything more than a prescription refill

I was being sarcastic when I said "Yeah because North Korea is the happiest place on earth with it's 0% tax rate and even has a holiday celebrating it" when Omega said that taxes automatically make a place a shithole, I was pointing out that North Korea is the only country in the world without taxes and isn't exactly a happy place and is obviously a totalitarian, poverty-stricken hellhole. My point is that defining a place as "good" or "bad" just because of tax rates is way too black and white.

Denmark increased their police and put in tougher laws to crack down on gang violence.
