You should look into it all a little further.
I was horrified when I heard about this stuff around 2016 - 17 on another site. It got to where I stopped reading about it because it was that disturbing.
Then somebody said something and I did some further checking, and a couple of things turned up. One is that the increase has a lot to do with the redefinition of rape in Sweden, a broadening of the term which now categorizes a lot of acts as rape criminally that weren't previously considered rape.
Another was that most of the cases actually had immigrants themselves as the victims, and again, this had to do with a redefining of the term, plus increased reporting that came with a campaign to increase awareness among immigrants that help was available to them.
Still, in order to avoid stories which were hard to take, I didn't do any more research into it. Incidents from New Years at Cologne to the Finland ferry incident to the Rotherham, etc, rapes, are still out there.
