You're showing what would represent like .1-.2 percent of the voter base behind Trump. Then calling that "half". KKK has been shamed into almost oblivion - less than 10 thousand people nation wide. Toss in the other fringe groups that are similar to the KKK and you have around 17,000 people.

71,000,000 votes last election - 17,000 people. Let's assume all 17,000 of those folks voted Trump. So 70,983,000 / 17,000.

1. She actually wasn't solely talking about racists.

She also mentioned sexists, homophobes, zenophobes, & Islamophobes as also being among the "half" of his supporters in the "basket of deplorables".

2. She did preface it by saying:
"to be grossly generalistic".

3. She said the other "half" of Trump’s supporters “feel that the government has let them down” are “desperate for change” and “those are people we have to understand and empathize with... ”

He's very fair in his assessments. Fine people on both sides, not just the neo-nazis, but those who are against them as well! Gosh, he's so swell.

He shouldn't have to denounce anything because his quote was clear. He denounced their actions when, in the statement you're referring to... He mentioned that those people weren't ok. He literally denounced them in that statement you & others took out of context.
