Inflation is back to about normal rates these days. The thing is that prices are never going to go back to what they used to be without tyrannical government overreach.

That where we have to make smart cuts to regulations,  we can drive prices down by flooding the markets with milk , cheese , eggs, and meat. Our farmers burn 1000s of  Hog carcasses  pour 10s of thousands of gallons of milk into sewers to keep prices high.  We can end those practices and at least make food affordable again.

Government making a Dairy Farm in Southern Ontario dump 30,000 litres of milk because they have gone over quota.

I figured thisnout in 1993 sitting in front of my squadron with a group of guys.  3 or 4 white dudes...a couple of puerto ricans...a few latinos, a chinese dude, and about 4 black guys.  We all sat around after drinking with each other, and talked about who what when the next minority will be.....so...we all learned early to love thy neighbor as a brother.
