Maybe if conservatives were to start up traditional leftist style rioting and looting and burning of buildings they would garner leftist sympathy and support.

Yeah well I value my soul too much to go that far.

Well see . . . ya gotta break those soul eggs in order to whip up leftist style Cultural Marxist omelets.

To be fair… they’ve been calling you that for a long time.

At least as far back as 2012. This isn’t a recent thing.

I take it you weren't around when Reagan was. They even have a book that they still sell a gun shows and neo-nazi Skinhead concerts celebrating 'the cause' - The Turner Diaries. A book that quite a few have been referring to fondly since Trump became a thing. It's their template for their plan.

No, I was around for Reagan. But the term… “radical extremist”… as opposed to a “moderate extremist” or a “radical moderate”…. TMK hasn’t been in the vernacular, at least when describing US politics. Maybe the tea party movement, but I digress.

Redundancies and oxymorons aside…

I said at least…

The image of these bunker types being anything but a minority, that even conservatives had a blindspot for due to whatever reason…. Demographics, policy-flippers, etc… didn’t really start to become the norm until at least the last decade… or two.

A Reagan Republican wore a business suit.

A Trump Republican looks like they woke up from a bunker, wearing a flag as a cape while holding a rifle like a patriotic cosplayer.

Yes, these kind of Republican constituents existed. But they were the minority. Nobody took them seriously. Not until it was much too late.

I dunno, from my perspective, it sure seemed like it was a vast sector of America (Bible Belt/Moral Majority/Televangelist zone, the Mullet-sporting crowd who wanted to nuke the Ruskies) that were talking race war back then, like Manson magnified into a far larger scope. The beating death of Vincent Chin, clashes over the Boat People off the coast of Texas and Louisiana fishing shrimp that local born racists believed they had no right to, the intro of neo-Nazi Skins in America, the Turner Diaries being a big underground hit, the stirring of rage against the border....

Reagan Republicans up North wore a suit - pinstripe, to be exact. Yuppies.
Down South, not so much. Except at the used car dealership.

Well, it gets complicated.

See, down south, as far back as the mid-eighties… Southern Democrats held power. Granted it was waning, but Reagan was definitely broadly appealing. The middle of the shift. Clinton being the end of it. Once he was gone, the South finally turned bright red.

But that's party affiliation, just a label affixed to a card.
I might be oversimplifying things from a thousand miles away, but face it, that scene goes way back to the Colonial Era.

Fair. And we agree on one thing…

It is certainly not recent.

You’ve cheered on January 6ers for years.

Jan 6th was 1 day that only last a couple hours, 1 person was killed and that was Babbitt that was peacefully protesting, murdered by an over zealous Pelosi body guard. Meanwhile, 20+ people were murdered during the floyd riots and 2 billion in property damages was caused.. democrats cheered every second of that while it happened.. there is no comparison between the two.

But the political Left doesn't see it that way because Rachel Maddow and the rest of the folks at MSNBC and CNN TOLD them not to see it that way.

100% they use Jan 6th as an excuse to do all the horrible shit they have done, including burn block and blocks of Minneapolis to the ground.

Yeah, the things they did in 2020 on account of what happened in 2021 is truly astronomical...

Yes Genious yes, all the shit the lefties did is justified because of Jan 6th in their little sweet minds.

Just stop lying about Jan 6th.. 8 people did not die on that day, 4 did, 1 was shot, I'll take your word for 1 was squished.. and two other died from natural causes.. so just stop making Jan 6th out to be worst than it was.
