Look at the video again. Trump is looking to his right, and then *just* before he grabs his ear, he turns his head a little more to the right. It looks to me like that last turn added the margin that was needed for the shooter to miss.

Guess he should’ve aimed for center mass. Might not have hit bystanders that way, either.

He also wouldn't have hit bystanders if he didn't fire the rifle at all.
