Right now, they're just playing for time, hoping for some kind of political recovery. That was part of the rationale for going early on the first debate, certainly: poor showings in debates ordinarily have a short shelf life.

But "Team Biden" shows every sign of being completely delusional. They're losing donors, the MSM, democrats in Congress, and CERTAINLY the American people. Everyone knows the senile creep isn't capable of being president, and he's only getting worse. So every day they waste makes the situation worse in November - no matter what they try to do.
