But the costs of any decision made by a government or society are transferred to others. You can't have a government without that.

Want roads? A standing army? Border control?

All of that requires money, and the government raises funds from others.

Any society that organizes will have costs, and those costs are transferred to others. It can't happen any other way.

This guy is an idiot. I take that back. He's not an idiot. He's quite smart. He's actually a grifter. He's conned Argentinians into electing him to office.

Money itself, regulating trade... Farms are still subsidized because of.... the Dust Bowl

Even what would seem to be amongst the most profitable of commodities:

Oil is heavily subsidized to the point that Americans complaining about its highest costs are actually paying half than what it normally costs the rest of the world to fill up a tank.

The world's biggest gold mine is a mountain in Nevada - well it used to be, it's a ginormous pit of a crater now. Thing is, the gold is so diffuse, it can't be detected even with a Scanning Electron Microscope. Mining all that ore, transporting it, processing, smelting... is exceedingly costly, so costly that basically the government has to pick up the tab otherwise the world's biggest gold mine wouldn't generate a profit.

Gold. The government subsidizing gold!

We haven't had capitalism, with a free market being the key requirement, in decades.

Problem is it can't survive on its own independently. Ultimately, the most successful capitalists will buy up everything, and it's monopoly time again. The way things are going, left to its own devices, Nestle will become the sole producer of food. And whatever else it can get his hands on.

Even when they're doing well, they end up competing themselves into bankruptcy. How many chains have gone under because they oversaturated their own market with themselves? In a couple of decades, the children of today will be telling their children about places like Starbucks, Walmart, Home Depot, Kmart, Rite Aid, Amazon, Red Lobster - oh, wait, the last three are already goners.

In your system, what happens to the elderly, the disabled, and just people that don't have the capacity to be independent?
