When ever anyone says that we used to do things better the left is right there to stomp on this with this notion that we want to relive some era.
Reality check, it is physically impossible to relive a bygone era. Therefore, NO ONE wants to return to the 50's or some other time. All we are saying is that there are lots of things that we used to do that worked but because the left always is all about change (regardless if it is for the better, which is never is) they forced us to stop doing that.
The left is so caught in this notion of change that the never at all look at the past unless it is with contempt. They do not learn from the past because to them everyone in the past were evil racists or whatever.
