Gender doesn't matter with babies, but we gender stereotype them anyways. I wonder why that is.
I once saw a study where they dressed babies in opposite gender clothes and asked adults to play with them. The baby girls got the boy toys and the baby boys got the girl toys. The grown ups had no idea.

In the 1700's the favourite colour for the male British Aristocracy was pink, it wasn't until the 1900's that the women 'claimed' it. I truly believe there are only two genders, though someone of one gender may be hard wired to be the other gender - hence gays, anyone who says they are gender neutral are either bi - sexual or have no, or little sex drive, but they are still either male or female.
